Just in Time for America’s Birthday

2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Weigel Senior Center, 3916 Section Street, Middleburg, Fl.    Click to help find directions from your home or business

We can see from the Question & Answer above what once was taught to America’s children about the founding generation.  What about those good, wise and brave men who gave so much to make their country free?  In our current time, we have men & women in the highest offices of our land degrading America & apologizing for America –all over the world.  We have seen our top secrets divulged to the world, and many of us are concerned that we may be losing America as we have known our nation.

If you would like to hear the truth about America and her founding, specific to the American Revolution and the Declaration of Independence, you will want to attend Frankie Anderson’s Crash Course on the American Revolution.

During these- the fastest three hours in American Revolutionary War history- here are only a few topics Frankie will cover:

1.      Just what led the colonists to decide to become a free & independent nation?

2.      From the Declaration of Independence, you will study definitions and principles from the Bible within the Declaration of Independence:  self-evident truths, unalienable rights, why governments were instituted, etc.

  1. What about the lives, fortunes and sacred honor of the signers of the Declaration of Independence?
  2. American  military character at Valley Forge
  3. The contribution of an American patriot who waged guerrilla warfare in South Carolina
  4. The Patriot Pastors and their indispensable influence before and during the American Revolution
  5. Diversity—and-- Press One for English, during the American Revolution?  Are you kidding?

Attending this class-just in time for July 4th- will remind and inspire you to share with your family & friends the true, exciting, exceptional HIStory surrounding the birth of the United States of America.  You will be reminded of the reasons why you love America---You do not want to miss this Crash Course on the American Revolution!

Participants will receive a free copy of the Declaration & some class Notes/flyers.  Please bring a pen, a highlighter, and your Bible.   Also, high school and college students are welcome!

For more details, contact Sandy Scarborough at or call her at 904-282-1883.  Sign up is not required, but requested so that an adequate number of materials will be available.  Although there is no charge for the class, donations are accepted.    Class begins promptly at 2:00 PM.

                    A Crash Course on the American Revolution—Hope to See you there!

Yes I was wondering that too,what is it used for right now and where is the tax being generated from?And also i have a few questions about the casino thing.
Comment by Rosemarie Brenneman on October 7, 2010 at 3:25pm
My question is: What is the tax for the schools going to be used specifically for? Where will it go?

Has anyone looked into the gen election ballot for Clay? I was just looking over it and there are a couple of referendums one on casino gambling ,and one on a continuation of a tax to fund the school district.Any thoughts on these?

Tea Party Summit: Ron Paul Meets Sarah Palin!
Will the warring factions of the Tea Party movement set aside their differences and unite for the fall elections? Ron Paul and Sarah Palin come together with host Judge Andrew Napolitano to discuss common ground and major differences.

What does the future hold for the Tea Party? Rand Paul, Jim DeMint, Michele Bachmann, Dick Armey, Ed Rendell, and a surprise guest will discuss their thoughts on libertarian and conservative coalition building.

Will social conservatives put aside their differences with libertarians and unite under the Gadsden Flag of fiscal responsibility? Or are libertarians more suited to work with liberals because of their passion for civil liberties and distaste for war? What will be the outcome?

Find out this weekend! Join us on the Fox Business Network this Saturday 10AM and 8PM and Sunday 8PM and 11PM EST.

FYI-there will be a candidate forum for third congressional district candidates monday night apr 25, 7:00 at the Orange Park Town Hall at the Clay Republicans meeting. There has been some interest in the event by the "other" tea party group, and anyone who goes make sure you sign in to the guest book. Hope to see everyone tuesday night at the American Legion, i've heard Mr. Platt speak a few times on a couple of different issue, he's a good person to hear.

One of the sub-committees ("Elections Team") on the research team has been diligently working on the early phases of putting together a valuable resource for people to learn about candidates and issues that will be on their local ballot in November. Consider it a cheat sheet of sorts.

This committee has been working to put together a set of uniform questions we at the First Coast Tea Party would like to get answers from the actual candidates who are running at a National, State, and Local level. We are in the final stages of having our questionnaires done, and the next phase is for us to have a contact person in each of the major areas of Jacksonville to contact the Supervisor of Elections.

The areas we need a volunteer from is each of the following:

* Duval County (This we have someone for this)
* St. John's County
* Baker County
* Clay County
* Nassau County

Once we have a volunteer for each, he or she will need to get contact information from the Supervisor of Elections in that County for all the candidates and then reach out to each candidate or their campaign headquarters to get the questions we've developed answered.

The "Elections Team" Sub-Committee has our next meeting Monday, March 22nd at 6:30pm. The meeting location is at Picadilly located at: 3216 University Boulevard South, Jacksonville, FL

If you or someone in your Local Tea Party group wants to assist or has any questions please call me at 904-735-7766.

If you would be so kind as to email me ( when your next local meeting is I'd like to attend to make your group aware of what we are doing and recruit volunteers. This is a huge task and we could use lots of help!
