  • Helen Rose Chestnut

    Kay,
There are 23 members and only a handful that came to rehearsal. Any of the 23 that show up at 2:00 PM will be able to sing. Get words for the songs we are going to sing. You probably know most of them. Hope you will be there at 2:00.
  • Kay Ragan Durden

I hope to be there with bells on!!!! Ha. Look forward to singing with anyone that shows up!!!
  • Terri Booth

  • Beth Hazen

Hey Torelli, We hope you are feeling better!! Missed you and Karen in DC this weekend. We needed your PA system in DC yesterday. It is good to have friends with PA systems. lol Glad to have to have you on board with Freedom Sings!!

    Beth and Ken
  • mike torelli

Hey Beth and Ken I'm still hooked to an IV twice a day but am starting to feel better. I wish I could have been there...
  • Kay Ragan Durden

Remember, it was just one battle. We will stand firm and win in November if we all do what needs to be done. Like make sure everyone on your street knows and goes to vote. We have got to wake our friends that are still asleep up and get them to the polls. Keep the Faith!!
  • Kay Ragan Durden

Murray, Please let me know about singers for Tallahassee and Jax. at the landing. Thanks,
  • Kay Ragan Durden

Helen, 1960!!! be careful, your letting them know how old we are!!!HA HA
And never fear, remember we got Ronald Reagan after Jimmy Carter. I look so forward to 2012 and hopefully Sarah Palin!!!!!
  • Mike Austell

I would have also been a fan of Palin had she not jumped on the campaign to reelect McCain. She just lost a lot of credibility with me.
  • Kay Ragan Durden

Come on Mike, give her a break. I was Fred Thompson's Chairman and didn't care for McCain either, but I did know he was better than what we've got. She is one of us and the fact that she stands by the man that brought her onto the National stage is OK with me. I know how she feel about the Vietnam Vets, because I feel the same.
  • Kay Ragan Durden

Now back to MUSIC, What do we need for the 2 Rallys coming up???
  • Mike Austell

I don't disagree with that, Kay. But McCain has proven himself over and over to be a big government statist. He, and his ilk, are the problem in Washington. Remember McCain-Feingold, McCain-Kennedy, McCain-Lieberman? The hits just keep on coming!!!
Now back to music. Wait a minute! This is a political forum! LOL.
  • Kay Ragan Durden

Your right and I agree with you. My first question when I meet a Republican was, Are you a Reagan Republican or a McCain Republican?? Then I knew if they were with us Conservatives or if they were LIBS. And yes, I hated the McCain-Feingold mess up. It just made it harder to get the money we needed to run a good candidate. Take care,
  • Mike Austell

Good lively discussions, Kay. My first question doesn't relate to political party at all. "Are you a Constitutionalist?" We need desperately to get back to old-fashioned Constitutional ideas. That starts in every local election as well as state and federal. Unfortunately, we have a lot of elected officials with (R) behind their names who consider the Constitution a serious inconvenience.
  • Helen Rose Chestnut

Well, are we singing on April 15th at the Landing. When are we practicing etc. Anybody know?
  • Kay Ragan Durden

Helen, I don't know. Looks like you, me and Mike are the only ones on here.
  • Helen Rose Chestnut

Out of 25 people that is not too impressive. Probably someone needs to contact each member by phone to update and remind them of our next move. We need to communicate better. The Tea Party is working all over America and we must be out front with our voices. Freedom is lost if we do not work to keep it!
  • Kay Ragan Durden

Helen, maybe there like me and don't know to much about this computer.
but you are right, we need to stay in touch. Like April 7. I know Murray will be there to sing, but guess thats all. nothing else. I'm hoping he will get in touch with me for our April 15th Rally, I know some great singers that do solo. Our group just needs to get together every week or 2 times a week to see if we can really get it together and Sing like a group??!!!
  • Kay Ragan Durden

Mike, sorry I just saw you April 1 message. The answer is a big fat YES on being a Constitutionalist. To me its like being a Christian, without the Bible. Can't be one!! The Constitution is the Bible for our country. Go by it or go to another country that does it another way. Just look at our churches, The Bible says one (1) church, when men took over and said well I don't like this part of the Bible so I'll start another church. Now look at how many we have!! Not many go by the Bible anymore. They go by there feelings!!!! If we leave the Constitution and go with our feelings we will be in the same boat. LOST
  • Kay Ragan Durden

Hey, anybody out there???? What are we doing and who is doing it for the Rally on the 15th??????
  • Caleb Bryan

Hey, veteran Tea Party Members! I am a new member to the Tea Party movement- I play percussion and drums. If you need me for any event, then please let me know how I can help. I can run sound, help load/ unload, play drums, or sing (singing is my weakest skill). I can also write lyrics. My band has some music on itunes- the band is called room enough, if you want to listen for a reference on my drum styling. I look forward working with you guys as we remind our representatives on the local, state, and federal level that they work for THE PEOPLE!
  • mike torelli

If anybody is interested in putting together a band to play at the rally's, I'd like to be involved. I play guitar and have pro equipment including PA. I live on the Northside and have rehearsal space.
  • Caleb Bryan

    I am interested!
  • Kay Ragan Durden

Welcome, Caleb everyone has been so crazy pulling off our Rally tomorrow in Tallahassee that our leader hasn't checked in here. But I'm sure he will soon. Please come to our Rally in Jax. at the Landing and find Murray Golf.
  • Caleb Bryan

Is Murray Golf a person or a location? What can I do at the Rally in Jax. at the Landing?
  • Kay Ragan Durden

Caleb, Murray is the one who wrote the song "God Save the USA" he and his band do a lot of our rallies and I know he will be singing it at the Tallahassee Rally on the 7th , Wednesday. He has been dubbed our leader.
  • Helen Rose Chestnut

I am driving to Tallahassee tomorrow morning for the rally. Can anybody communicate with us so that if we are suppose to sing we will know details?
  • Kay Ragan Durden

Helen, why don' t you ride the bus??? Its only 25 dollars and I know gas is more than that. Do you have my cell phone #. If I do get to go I will drive because I am at out farm in Mayo.
  • Caleb Bryan

Thanks Kay- Will I know more of what to do and bring when Murray contacts me?
  • Helen Rose Chestnut

Murray Goff would like to have a practice this Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 10:00 AM and the following Tuesday at 6:30PM for the April 15th rally. Please RSVP to me at 904 504-8840. I also need your phone number and address so that Murray can better communicate with all of us in the future. We need a good meeting place as well. If you have any suggestions please advise me when you call. If you can not make both meetings please try to come to at least one. Murray realizes that this is at the last minute and might be a problem for some.
  • Caleb Bryan

I would love to help out next Thursday. My daughter is having her first birthday on Saturday. However, I can be there on Tuesday for practice. Do I need to bring drums, bongos, congas, tamborines, or shakers? I want to play a role in this group, but I do not want to step on anybody's claimed position. Just let me know how I am most needed. I also have drum microphones if they are needed, but some of them do require phantom power from the sound board.
  • Caleb Bryan

I can practice Tuesday if needed my number is 742-8684. I look forward to meeting you guys and gals very soon.
  • Helen Rose Chestnut

No practice on Saturday. We are still trying to find a meeting place for our practice on Tuesday. Please call with phone numbers for later use to communicate. Thanks
  • Helen Rose Chestnut

I can be reached at 904 543-9127 or cell 504-8840. Thanks
  • Raymond Johnson

I havent spoke to anyone yet and never have sang for the FCTP yet but if there is a need for anymore need for music I can sing Dimond Rio' s In God we still trust. I will call on Monday to talk Billy or Galya. Have good weekend.
  • Kay Ragan Durden

Helen, Please get Murray to call some of these folks and let them know what to do and bring. I see Caleb can bring a lot of things. Maybe we need to start more groups so they can be ready to go when one of the others can't. Good Luck!!!
  • Helen Rose Chestnut

That is what I am doing for Murray but I need to hear from the members(phone number, etc. I need a head count of who is coming to our Tuesday practice(at 6:30 at the FCTP Orlando office.
  • Kay Ragan Durden

Good Luck Helen, I know we all signed our names and pH.# and emails once. Maybe Billie can help. I know somewhere we have a list of all members. Good Luck. If I get back to Jax. I'll come. but I just don't know.
  • Valerie Sawyer

Yep, there was a sign-up sheet on the day we first met at the Zamar Center with all this info on it. Who has that?
