Brett, thank you for the kind words and yes many of the FCTP members worked extremely hard and did some great things. Your comments are so very true. Just to let you know that we are beginning the work related to where we focus in the coming year as we are all aware that the strategy and focus needs to change if we are to have a major impact on the change we all want so badly.
Since 1865 the Southern Red States have had their traditional Christian laws, morals and values out voted and overturned by the liberal socialist Blue States to their North and West. The government that our Fathers gave us has been so utterly perverted that it is totally unaccountable to the states and their citizens and no mechanism exists for checking it. Presidents now rule, not govern, through Cabinet Departments, High Level Political “Czars” and Executive Orders. Slogans such as "Restoring America" or "Taking our Country Back" have been shown to be impossible tasks within the current union of over 300 million people covering almost 4 million square miles. With this in mind, we don’t stress a "Pro-America" agenda, but a Pro-Florida and States' Rights one.
The bottom line is, "Federal reform is NOT possible".
Here in the Southland, our strongest and most enduring earthly affections and allegiances are to those people and places closest to us - family, friends, neighbors, villages, towns, cities, counties, and states. Conversely, our weakest attachments are to far-off abstractions such as "the nation", "the environment," or the "global community."
Many of today’s popular Liberty and Freedom groups are national in nature and in reality a sort of mini “One World Order” on a smaller U.S. scale, thus effectively abandoning a love for one's home.
It's important to advances the cultural, social, economic and political well-being and independence of Floridians by all honorable means and all Tea Party members are invited to join in this endevour. This is a noble cause, and we hope you feel that it is as well.
It is imperative that we reinforce the principles, values and intent of the Founding Fathers and organic documents of our original union in the minds and hearts of the people of Florida as we strive to strengthen the sovereignty of our great State. Join us at our monthly breakfast this Saturday and debate the issue. http://fctpcommunity.org/events/breakfast-meeting-social-4
