I'll be in upstate NY for the next few months, but will be on the internet and hope to keep in touch. I need a break after the Putnam County fiasco. I'll be back in October, hopefully refreshed. Keep up the good work. Ed Kilgour
I appointed a group of team leaders to help me get started not knowing the political connections of any of them. Most of the influential ones were Republicans and after we got started they wanted to help raise money for the Rep. Party, invite some of their executives to join our team leader group and begin endorsing Rep. Candidates. This would drive a lot of people out of our Tea Party because I promised them that we would be non-partisan. A lot of our people are Disgruntled Democrats, Independants, Libertarians and even non-political. The Republican Party here is a bunch of losers with no platform and no initiative. They successfully beat me off and without involving the people they voted themselves (the small team leaders group) as president, vp, sec, treasurer etc and incorperated, so they now own the name Putnam County Tea Party Patriots. I have contacted the Tea Party Patriots Organization and informed them and they are investigating and will make a decision as to weather they want me to keep the Putnam County Coordinator Position or turn it over to these people. It's been a lot of hard work down the drain but things will work out. Insidentally, the last meeting I went to they had about 15 people attending. We were having 60 to 90 people before this happened. All they do is meet. You can not keep people's interest up unless you involve them and keep them active That's the sad story. I'm sure if you asked one of them you would get a different opinion, but I have the emails to back this up. Take care, Ed Kilgour.
