Jacksonville: Time frame is hurdle in push for union cuts

The views of those candidates for mayor who chose to participate are included at the bottom of the article.

Candidates hoping to replace Peyton have different ideas, but none have firmly committed.

The Obama Tax Shell Game Exposed.

This is about the best explanation I have seen of the situation with the Bush tax cuts and the coming Obama tax increase. Basically, the democrats don't have the votes to do what they want to do, so they will blame the increases on every body on the republicans by doing nothing.

Corrine Brown, NAACP at odds over redistricting amendments

I don't want to break her heart, but Yost is only 7 points behind her right now in "HER" district as it sits today. This may be a fight she and the NAACP won't have to worry about after November!

She argues minorities will be affected by Amendments 5 and 6; they say she's just trying to save her own district.…

What was Clay Yarborough Thinking? (I actually thought he had some great ideas)

I think it took real moxy to suggest some of these things our big spender city council seems to think are sacred. The Ritz got 2 suggestions for cuts, and one would wonder since they have plowed down all the row houses that actually accounted for the flavor of the district, how can meaningful renovation be actually be accomplished. I understand the builders association wants to make a bundle building brand new condos, but the row houses and the people in them are the…

EMERGENCY: One Nation Working Together Rally this weekend in DC

Have you heard about the Progressive Rally this weekend in DC? Did you hear about all the unions who are paying people to come to the rally?

One of our very own came up with a great idea. RJ in our tea party is a member of a union and he said if you live within 12 hours of DC they will pay for your transportation. He suggested you tell them we have 10-15 people going and we could get a free trip to DC!!

Here's the information:…

MAYORS, CITY COUNCILS AND UNIONS: THE REALITY FACES US ALL

After yesterday's city council meeting all of us were frustrated and mad as heck. As we stated yesterday, there are many complex parts to the issues at hand.

I may step on a few toes with this blog so bear with me for a moment.

While the City Council could have done a better job with the budget and cut more non-essential programs, their hands were tied where the real money could be found. The money that would have made a difference would be to cut salaries (like…

Jacksonville mayor confers with pension board

Is this who you really want making any more deals with the unions. He has not done a good job up to now, and he could get us locked into another boondoggle.

We won't forget!

If those city council persons who voted Yea on this increase in property taxes think they are going to get a free ride in their next elections, they had better plan on retiring. We will remember those who voted for the tax increase as well as those who have been spending our money like it was water flowing over a dam, and vote them out of office.

As Tea Party members, we do need to consider recruiting…

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
