HAS THE CITY COUNCIL ALREADY MADE UP THEIR MIND ON RAISING OUR PROPERTY TAXES?

Take a moment and go to WOKV's website. There is an interesting article about the 9% Property Tax Increase that will be voted on this coming Tuesday night, September 28. Check it out here http://wokv.com/localnews/2010/09/has-council-already-made-up-th.html

We disagree that the City Council members have made up their minds. We believe they REALLY want to do all they can to keep from raising…

Crist touts way to aid Social Security: Through Illegal Immigration!

Campaigning amid walkers and canes at a Pembroke Pines retirement community, Gov. Charlie Crist pledged Wednesday to protect Social Security and suggested an unconventional solution to shoring up the trust fund: allowing illegal immigrants to earn citizenship.

Crist called Social Security "one of the only federal programs that's working'' and criticized…

the Disclose Act is Back and Could be Voted on AGAIN as soon as Thursday

The US Chamber of Commerce has letters which can be altered by you and sent, and they also send the appropriate letter depending on whether your senator voted for or against this bill (they check the voting roll call for you) in July (in our case, that's important since Bill Nelson voted for and LeMieux…

The DISCLOSE Act denies the first amendment protection to some. Non open government Un-American

This First Amendment-shredding legislation will infringe on our patriot’s privacy and limit our ability to mobilize grassroots activists while empowering Big Labor and the rest of the establishment’s best friends.

DISCLOSE vote will wait for high-dollar fundraiser

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid just scheduled a vote on the DISCLOSE Act, which would force donors to publish their involvement in political ad campaigns, for Thursday.

Why not tomorrow, you might ask? Because there… Continue

CFO VELMA: THE NEW VOICE OF OUR AMERICAN MISERY

CFO VELMA: THE NEW VOICE OF OUR AMERICAN MISERY

By DICK MORRIS

Published on TheHill.com on September 21, 2010

Printer-Friendly Version

The MSNBC cameras unwittingly -- and probably unwillingly -- captured a Joe the Plumber moment during Monday's town hall meeting called by President Obama to discuss the economy. Expressing the frustration of tens of millions of Americans on a day during which the economists called the recession over, Velma Hart, a… Continue

Opinion in today's paper: Tea Party: Criticism only goes so far

As I feel this writer clearly does not understand the responsibities of our city government and what the tea party is and is about, I thought and do hope some will go in and make comments? We would hardly need city officials if the tea party were responsible for doing their jobs, now would we? A link taking you to this opinion letter at bottom of opinion.

Florida senator, Duval teachers union president respond to study on merit pay

The communist or socialist approach to teaching I guess where the union thinks the whole team should get credit for the work of one person? I think individual accomplishment should be recognized and performance of the teacher, who excelled, should be rewarded. What about you?

Union president says that people seek a silver bullet…

We work hard for our money...and you better treat us right!

Some of you may remember Donna Summer and her song, "She works hard for the money, so you better treat her right."

Today on LibertyCentral.org -- Check out the posting about how Congress is going to take more out of your paycheck starting January 1, 2011.

The only reason for taking more money - the flip of the calendar from 2010 to 2011 and all because Congress did not extend the Bush Tax Cuts. As of January, they will officially become the Obama Tax Hikes for…

Dem operative 'involved' in New Black Panthers call

By Bob Unruh

© 2010 WorldNetDaily

Information obtained from the Obama Department of Justice by the Washington-based government monitor Judicial Watch appears to document that a political operative participated in the decision to drop large portions of a voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party that essentially already had been won.

Judicial Watch announced in a statement today that it has forced the disclosure of the existence of documents… Continue

Town Hall Meeting in Washington

I would like to comment on the Town Hall meeting held in Washington. A Chief Financial Advisor and CEO spoke for all middle class families. We are unable to maintain the standard of living we worked hard for. The President made light of her comment. It's not funny Mr. President. When people are losing their jobs and homes. I expected a solution to the problem instead we got empty words.

I'm with those who say why should we participate in an activity that will be as helpful to the

liberal agena which is destroying our country, as it is to those who want to restore our

rights and constitution and move out of office those who are corrupt and bent on remaining

in power through any means. DO NOT APOLOGIZE FOR BEING A CONSERVATIVE.

I've been searching for ways to help within my tea party group, and political politeness and

fear of disapproval…

ACTION NEEDED TODAY: DREAM ACT IS A NIGHTMARE

Harry Reid is grasping at straws and doing everything he can to attach Illegal Amnesty to a Department of Defense reauthorization bill. This is nothing more than underhanded progressive tactics and Harry needs to lose this one. The act would give UNDOCUMENTED immigrant students who have been living in the US since they were young an opportunity to go to college or join the military. This will offer them a path to citizenship.

Okay - this sounds good and wholesome yet it is…

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
