Some Thoughts on Leadership

President Obama is a very confused man. He continuously references leadership in a manner that reflects a lack of understanding of what the word means. In many occasions he mentions his intention to “do what is right, not what is popular,” or rephrases it in another way, "The American people want to know if it's still possible for Washington to look out for their interests and their future. They are waiting for us to act. They are waiting for us to lead. I don't know how this plays politically,… Continue

Florida Oil Drilling and the Liberal Mindset

This is something that has been troubling me for some time, and now with the oil rig mishap that happened off Fl west coast I have decided to speak up about it.

I just heard this morning on the radio that only 48% of Floridians are in favor of drilling off the coast now. Did this mishap really change your mind overnight? Oil drilling is still safe! This is an Isolated incident that could have happened anywhere on earth. It will only take the gas prices to go up again like they…

I HAD A DREAM AND IT SCARED ME

I had a dream last night and woke up in a cold sweat. It starts with the sun rising on an American beach while the seagulls fly across the horizon and people are jogging on the shore. The next scene President Obama is standing in his bedroom with a phone in his hand. He’s calling Nancy and Harry and they have this…

Reading the Tea Leaves with Mary Ann - "Playing by the Rules: Distracting Tea Party Members from Critical Agenda"

We welcome Mary Ann as a weekly blogger for the First Coast Tea Party. Mary Ann is a supportive member of the Tea Party Movement and when she is not writing for us she is a pharmacist in real life.

Prologue: President Obama helped fund The Woods Fund, a nonprofit on which Obama served as paid director from 1999 to December 2002. This organization provided startup funding and later capital…

May 6 Town Hall Budget meeting

Pat, cannot be there - - but I hope someone will raise this

suggestion:

Instead of looking for taxes as a way to increase revenue, why doesn't the city move JEA over into a public-traded utility company

Put it on the NYSE or Nasdaq, where it would have to comply with SEC regulations

(which would be a good thing).

The city would benefit several ways:

Immediate revenue by selling some of its shares

Continuing revenue from…

City Council Town Hall tonight (5/6) at FCCJ Beach Blvd Campus at 6 PM

Tonight (May 6, 2010) at 6:00pm at FCCJ (Florida State) Beach Blvd. campus is the last City Council Budget Town Hall. We need to put as many responsible citizens in those seats as possible to combat the handout-seekers that have been attending and begging for more of our money.

This year appears to be a repeat of last year with Mayor John Peyton going around and selling another tax increase. This will likely be an increase in the property tax and an increase in Peyton's three new… Continue

WE DON'T WANT BIG GOVERNMENT -- BUT WE DO WANT GOVERNORS BIG ENOUGH TO TAKE A STAND! WILL CHARLIE?

In Arizona last week, their Governor took a stand along with her State Senators and told the rest of America - "We are mad as heck and we won't take it anymore!" Sounds a little bit like the Tea Party Movement - doesn't it?

While some people wrestle over the concerns they may be stopped and asked for ID, we wonder what the big deal is. Are you not asked for your ID and strip down to your bare essentials when you board a plane? Are you not asked for ID when you go to the doctor…

The Explosion of Federal Government Jobs

From my blog www.theatleeappeal.com ;

There is just so much going on out there in the world of news it’s just tough to decide what to cover. The oil spill no doubt is almost on par with the immigration debate out in Arizona. The constant, unjustified attack of Goldman Sachs by Washington…

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
