TheGuardian: Military given go-ahead to detain US terrorist suspects without trial

I guess if you can't get rid of those who disagree with you, now the O can just call those who disagree with him terrorists (as they do with the tea party), and they can make you a political prisoner without a trial or any of your first amendment rights.  Obama signed the bill which they put into the defence bill just passed by both houses.  It was so bad, apparently, those who voted for it, never actually understood the gravity of what they were doing...........or maybe they did…

Happy Birthday Bill of Rights It was Nice Knowing You...

The Bill of Rights is 220 years old today having come into effect as Constitutional Amendments on December 15, 1791, through the process of ratification by three-fourths of the States.  Over the past few weeks I have been trying to draw attention, as have others, to the issue of the indefinite detention of Americans contained within the National  Defense Authorization Act.  Those opposed to this act have failed to force a national debate on this issue…

Mychal Massie: Obama’s terrorist attack on our children’s minds

I am sick at heart that the person residing in our white house is a communist and is pushing his rhetoric on innocent school children and all his warped ideas.

Speaking at Osawatomie High School, in Osawatomie, Kan., Obama said: “Now, it’s a simple theory. And we have to admit, it’s one that speaks to our rugged individualism and our healthy skepticism of too much government. That’s in America’s DNA. And that theory fits well on a bumper sticker. But…

Put it all on 24 Black... Do Floridians Believe in the Right to Contract?

Freedom of contract is the freedom of individuals and corporations to form contracts without government restrictions.  This freedom is found within the principles of liberty imbedded within the Constitution and is the foundation of our free market economic system.

The Florida Constitution guarantees individuals the right to have access to courts for redress of grievances.  Unfortunately not all Floridians have this right.  If you are injured in an on the job accident in…

Electing a President or a Savior?

Dwight Eisenhower once said, "Never let yourself be persuaded that any one Great Man, any one leader, is necessary to the salvation of America. When America consists of one leader and 158 millon followers, It will no longer be America." Obviously America consists of over 300 million people today but the sentiment is still the same. I'm concerned we are putting all our hope in the election of the next President. While it is clear to conservatives that President Obama must be voted out…

STAND UP FOR THOSE WHO LAID DOWN THEIR LIVES FOR US: A urgent plea for justice

As we plan our Christmas celebrations with family members, some will wish Christmas would not come at all.  They will be experiencing the sadness that can only come from the loss of a loved one defending liberty.  A recent article in the Wall Street Journal has brought attention to the torture and murder of 5 American soldiers.  Their killer may be set free by the Obama administration.  Here is an email from a dear friend in DC who is calling out for our help. …

TU: Mayor Alvin Brown to embark on reorganization ahead of City Council vote

Please take a look at this.  I personally am very concerned about what appears to be an attempt to centralize power under the mayor office and appoint folks that for all intents and purposes appear to be CZARS.  I do not think the mayor's office should be allowed to turn any of these entities into political footballs with changes in personnel that "see" his point of view politically instead of doing their job or perhaps even favor one class of people over another which seems very…

The JEA pay raise bills are set for this Tuesday's city council meeting (bills 2011-677 through 2011-681.........see summary sections below), so their timing is less than perfect..............everyone gone over the Christmas holiday and our friends over at JEA are trying to get pay raises passed. The only saving grace is that several councilmen/women do not seem to…

Politico: Ugly divide at NRC pits Jaczko vs. fellow commissioners

Obama is at it again.  He is putting our safety at risk this time by not doing his job.  He is too busy campaigning and obvious thinks he can ignor his other duties.  He has known there was a problem for 2 months and no action taken.................apparently voting present again.

Bloomberg: GOP blocks Obama nominee to head financial agency

The scuttlebutt is that Obama was waiting for Christmas break to appoint the head to this department who would have had huge power.  The GOP  senators have said it will keep the congress open over Christmas break (which in essence stops any appointment by Obama and stops the "power" the appointment would have had from happening).  I hope you are as grateful for this as I am, and think it is shameful of this president to force the congress to remain open during what are supposed…

Forbes: Did The Obama Administration Throw The FDA Under The Bus?

To say this administration is imploding may be an understatement.  This is the second department that has complained about what is going on with the Obama administration.

Susan Wood quit her job as an assistant commissioner for woman’s health at the Food and Drug Administration in 2005 because she thought political, not scientific, forces were delaying efforts to make the Plan B emergency contraceptive available without a prescription. Four years…

PLEASE BE AWARE: YOUR DONATIONS MAY BE ABUSED

During this time of year, we are all inundated with requests for end of year donations from organizations that rely on your precious gifts.  There are many wonderful organizations that are passionate about their cause and should be supported.

Patriot Newswire: Britain: Islam In, Christianity Out

This is shameful, it is what Obama is bringing to our country, and it has already begun.  Obama truly is the devil himself, and we must get a true Christian into the white house as our president in 2012 and not just someone pretending to be a Christian, so they can get elected to public office!

A Christian worker in Britain has filed a lawsuit after losing her job when she exposed a campaign of systematic harassment by fundamentalist…

December 7th is our September 11th

A message from my Mother-in-law:

It was my birthday and today I would be 16 years old.  The day of passage from a child to a young woman was happening.  I was so excited even though I missed my dad who had passed away earlier in the year.  His passing had created financial problems for our family so I quit school and went to work in a local cigar factory to help make ends meet.  Mom…

Detainee Policy vs. The Constitution

A small corner of conservative punditry has been ablaze over the Senate's passage of S. 1867, formally known as the ‘‘National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012’’.  Buried within this 926 page bill covering things such as healthcare benefits for the armed forces and stationing more destroyers at Mayport, are two provisions, sections 1031 and 1032, which have the potential to undermine our Constitutional liberties.  I am concerned that the media coverage of this issue, especially…

There's hope for the Occupiers! (he said, tongue-in-cheek)

An ex-Zucotti Park Occupier just got a job with the 1%.  Who else is going to hire them? Certainly not the 99%. See this link:

I laughed when I read she is going to take her sign to work.  That kind of reminds me of Linus's security blanket.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
