Phone calls and social media push are making a huge difference. We are hearing that some Members who indicated their support for Ryan earlier are re-thinking because their constituents are so angry.

NumbersUSA opened the battle two weeks ago to expose Ryan as a career-long advocate for immigration expansionism that is overwhelmingly rejected by the voters of his Party. Since then, we have gained many powerful allies in talk radio and major political organizations for which immigration has not been their main issue. They have been pouring a lot of gasoline on the grass fire.

Reports from the Hill are that many Representatives are stunned by the firestorm of protest over Ryan from their constituents. They had no idea their voters pay this much attention to the inner workings of Congress and are so informed. Quite a number of anti-amnesty Representatives who have been supporting Ryan because they like his leadership abilities and positions on other issues are indicating that they are having to re-think their Speaker vote next week because of the grassroots anger.

The grassroots reaction this time already has pushed so many Representatives to challenge Ryan on his immigration ideology that he has had to make concessions that no amnesty and expansion bill will move in this Congress and that after 2016, he wouldn't allow anything like that unless a majority of the Republicans agreed. Nancy Pelosi and the elite news media are howling about that, but that already is one victory from all the activism so far.'
