We are asking all Senators to vote “No” on the Menendez/Burr Amendment (Amendment #1782, also known as the Pickens’ Plan and the NAT GAS Act) that has been inserted into the Senate Highway Bill. Americans are tired of crony capitalism, and it is not Washington, D.C.’s place to pick winners and losers in the market. Amendment #1782 does just that by creating taxpayer subsidies for the production and use of natural gas.
