Bearing False Witness: The Media's at it again
Sunday morning is my favorite day of the week. There is a certain calmness that seems to come from a place not of this world.
We do not have the rush to get up and get off to work as we do Monday through Friday. Saturday is usually filled with errands; baby/wedding showers; grocery store visits; mowing the lawn; having dinner with friends or a night out at the movie with your sweetie.
Yes, Sunday mornings are special – except when it is interrupted by the newspaper and the Sunday morning news shows bearing false witness against We the People.
As I poured my coffee and flipped the pages of my local newspaper, my usually peaceful Sunday morning was interrupted by Clarence Page indicating we were responsible for the downgrade of the nation’s credit. Next to that article in the center of the page was a cartoon depicting a cup of tea with a tea bag lying on the bottom. The bag had a figure on it indicating America’s economy drowning and gasping for breath.
I guess because it’s Sunday morning, the Ten Commandments came to mind. “Bearing false witness,” I thought. That term means to degrade our neighbor’s reputation or dignity.
On this glorious Sunday morning, my heart hurt for the beautiful people of this movement. As the newspapers and bobbing-head newscasters line up with their progressive candidates in a vicious campaign to destroy liberty, these precious people will be denigrated and falsely accused of many horrible things. Today’s paper is just the beginning of many more pages where they will bear false witness against the good neighbors of America.
I know the people of this movement and they are the breadbasket of our nation. They are the ones who toiled to build their own nest eggs. They are the ones who built small businesses and made a small success for their families to inherit. They are the ones who worked two jobs to send their kids to college. They are the ones who worked the soup kitchens on Thanksgiving. They are the ones who gave money to the family who lost everything in a tornado. They are the ones who helped out their neighbor when sickness showed up at their door. They are the ones who hung their flags outside their homes when 9/11 changed our world. They are the ones whose family tree has the names of America’s founders on a branch. Those founders stood up against tyrants 200 years ago and today their family members are doing the same.
I love the people of this movement. You are the best! Your work ethic cannot be compared to any other nation. Your valor on the fields of war cannot be measured by any others. Your welcoming arms to freedom-seeking legal immigrants cannot be surpassed by any other nation. Your pride in your heritage is the foundation of our future.
When the media bears false witness against you, they do the same to all of us. This movement is millions strong and we grow in numbers daily. We know the facts and we believe facing them head-on and dealing with them is the way out of this mess. To falsely accuse us of being responsible for this economic mess is deceitful, arrogant and dangerous. History will show how the media, the left and yes, some on the right ignored the facts, twisted the truth and caused the downfall of America. History will also show that the tea party movement was the Paul Revere of our times.
I am so proud of all our members and welcome those who recently joined after they watched their savings sink to another new low this past week. They waited for leadership to show up to say “It’s okay, everything will be alright soon.” No one did – not from the White House, not from Congress and not from the media.
Each time a leadership void in our country affects the wonderful people of our nation, the tea party membership grows. Each time we are falsely accused of something, our membership grows.
You would think it would be the opposite. But it isn’t. Today our membership will grow again thanks to Clarence Page and the horrible little cartoon in the center of the page.
People are on to the tactics and have grown tired of them. They don’t want games. They don’t want lies. They want truth. They want to be a part of fixing this nation. They want to know that their futures will be as bright as their past. They want America to shine again.
To you who might think about bearing false witness against my neighbors and my friends, do me one favor. Check out who these people are first. You will find yourself surrounded by smart, intelligent, caring, loving, hard-working, patriotic and God-fearing people. They will stand WITH you and have your back if you treat them with respect. If you choose the other path, they will stand up TO you and fight for truth. It’s in our blood. It’s our heritage. It’s the American way.
May God bless all the members of the tea party movement on this glorious Sunday morning in America. Pay no attention to these false accusations. You know the truth and the truth will set all of us free. Enjoy your day of rest because Monday’s coming and with it – another week to set the record straight and save the USA.

ANOTHER NOTE: Congratulations to Rep. Michelle Bachmann for winning the Iowa Straw Ballot. We are positive the media will be flapping their jaws and turning their heads in disgust at the people of Iowa. We are sure bearing false witness will be the play of the day. And we predict, the tea party movement in Iowa will grow stronger for it!

I haven't taken the paper here since moving to Jacksonville. It is slanted to the left. Cheers to the Iowans for their vote for Bachmann. The thing is the Liberals have to lie, they have to distort because what is happening in this country, is nothing less than criminal. I want to say to people, if you love your children get this country back to spiritual values. It doesn't matter your religion, all legitimate religions embrace the same spiritual values. Those values are valued by folks around the world, America has been the shining light of hope precisely because our government has been founded on them. The liberals who have gained power are no friends of freedom, they want to make other things god, not the One true God, whether IT be called Jehovah, Tao or the Great Talgatha, (A ROSE BY ANY NAME WOULD SMELL AS SWEET) they would make the State god, or the anointed one, OR SOME OTHER DEMIGOG. History has shown us what happens to countries who go down the path they are trying to send us. Pray daily for our country. We shall overcome them. Educate your neighbor, wake them up -to liberal lies.

I am 69 years old and have lived in Jacksonville all my life. The FTU used to be a great newspaper, but in the last decade, I have noticed that they have gone down in quality of reporting. It is no wonder they have people in the medias on Sundays trying to sell their paper. I cancelled my subscription years ago for their failure to report responsibly. As a teenager, I worked for a local radio station(WPDQ) in the late fifties as a part-time reporter. This station reported on the news and had very little editorials. They were the first radio station to report in 1958 that Fulgencio Batista had left Cuba and landing at the old Imeson Airport. I know this as a fact as I was at the Laurie Young's facility when I saw the plane land and called the station with the news. The FTU made a big deal out of this event, as they rightly should have done. Reporting the big news that happens in Washington, D.C., the FTU seems to report only the leftist point of view and they dare not critize the Obama regime in the FTU instead they choose to try and vileify the Tea Party movement and all the loyal Americans that support this great cause. The FTU is like the Congressional members that are trying to take away any thing that does not support their ideology and beliefs and ridiculing those with different point of view. Well it is not going to work, Americans are fed up with the ruthless and arrogance of the politicians that are self serving to only themselves and their "cronies". It is time that the politicians realize that we elect them to serve us and not vice versa. Taking back our "people power" is critical for the survival of our country. If the politicans in office now are not responsive to our demand, it is time to kick these self serving idiots out and elect people that represent our beliefs and ideology. We the people are the one's with power, no matter how the FTU and other political organizations try to downgrade us, We the people are the one's with power and must never let that power go.

Call Mike Clark, the FTU's editorial page editor, at (904) 359- 4307 and ask to join the papers interactive email group. The process is painless. Answer a few questions in the email they will send you and your in.
The TU receives hundreds of letters. Each one has to be screened to make sure the person writing it actually exists. If your part of the group, they already know that.
You will also receive periodic emails ( based on your questionnaire) telling you what subject they're looking for letters on.
No guarantees, but you stand a far better chance of them using one of your letters if you are a member.

Thanks again for such a wonderful, powerful response to the garbage printed in todays Times-Union by Clarence Page.
This is nothing more than an example of just how determined the "Left" has become and the lengths they will go to undermine and discredit the good work of the many "Tea Party'ers" who amazingly still have no "true" organization or "leadership" structure.
They own the "ink" and the minds of influential people who spew such venomous lies against the Tea Party. Notice how they only use the name "Tea Party" to attack us. That is the beauty of the movement. It is a movement of "like mined" patriotic people pushing back against such a despicable enemy.
Clarance Page has now identified himself as one of those who are willing to use the limitless supply of ink through the Times-Union and other notable papers to discredit us.
History is repeating itself. During the 1930's the media in Germany, Italy and the Soviet Union became organs of the State. The only line was the party line. If you dissented, it wasn't going to be on the radio or in the newspaper. If you spoke in dissent, they had a place for you.
It is no different now....the media is putting out nothing but the "Party" line.
We are having a positive impact. MARCH ON!!!!!!!!

Years ago I terminated my subscription to the FTU because of its outragious local writers. Karl Marx should be so proud of them and hope they join him in HELL. They assassinated Bill Randall in a Friday before Tuesday election saying he owed child support and had been arrested for domestic violence and every bit was a bald face lie. But Bill had no time or OPPORTUNITY to fire back. Just as Pawlenty paid the price for misrepresenting Michelle Bachmann in the debate last Thursday, a fair warning should go up to the "dirty tricksters"; TEA PARTIERS are not a bunch of gullible RINOs!

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
