We are in DC and the feeling in the air is very different than it was last year.

Last year we were not sure if we should "expose" ourselves as tea party members because no one really knew if anyone else would show up. Last year, people in the hotel elevator were quiet and nice and they kept their "tea party tee shirts" covered up.

This year -- not so much!! As we gathered downstairs to get a bite to eat, bus loads of tea party members were unloading and checking into the hotel. They had their tee shirts on AND they were carrying their signs in with them to the front desk!

The Tea Party has come to town and we are proud of it.

Today will be a more reflective day as we gather at the Washington Memorial where we will have a Memorial Service for those who died on 9/11. Today marks the 9th anniversary of that tragic day in America when those who hate us tried to take us down. They were not successful!

Where were you when 9/11 happened? I was heading down I95 on a business trip and I was all alone listening to the reports on the radio. It was a beautiful day with a clear, blue sky and a stroke of a cloud here and there. While the world looked beautiful, I felt fear like never before. Read more about my trip at http://www.libertycentral.org/america-in-the-arms-of-an-angel-2010-09 and then go to the forums and tell us where you were. This will be our way of showing respect to those who died.

We will report back in after the Memorial Service and hope you will take a few minutes today to reflect on the greatness of America and give thanks for being an American.

Being the early bird, I was already heavy into work when someone came to my office to tell me an airplane had hit the WTC. We went to our conference room which has a projection TV to a full wall sized screen. The initial reports were speculating it may have been a tourist plane but as soon as I saw the hole on the building I knew it was a big one. I have been to the WTC on a number of occasions so I knew the relative size. As others were coming into the room, most just stared at the screen with dropped jaws while I told them this was no small plane, others were crying. Then the other plane hit Tower 2 and my first reaction was to look at them all and simply say; "I hope you all know we are at war". I was due to travel to Taiwan on the 13th, but as we all know, that did not happen but I did travel on the first day of availability. The flights to LA and Taipei were to say the least tense. As I was going up the jetway on arrival in Taiwan, I was unsure of what kind of reception and American would get, but everyone there was wanting to give their thoughts of well wishes and prayers. Lots of bowed heads in a sign of respect.

I was in England on a tour with my siblings and Mom of her fathers homeland. People met us in the parking lot of the hotel as we came back from a walking tour unknowing, to express their sorrow at what had happened to our country. We went in the hotel in disbelief and turned on the TV. My son was in NY at the time and it was two days before I knew he was safe. It felt weird not to be at home, but we were touched by the way the English held moments of silence everywhere we went. We took the first flights back as the air was re-opened, but we felt very cautious about our flight mates. I remember coming home from Orlando seeing American flags waving everywhere...it was amazing! But I always felt I should have been here.

I was in South Carolina checking into a hotel with my wife and the news was on the tv in the lobby. There was a crowd around the tv watching the news reports showing the plane crashing into the first tower. My wife and I joined the crowd and stayed glued to the tv as the second plane crashed into the tower and we knew it was a terrorist attack on the US. I will never forget that day as long as I live.

I was at work. One of the guys came running through the office yelling TURN ON THE TV. A PLANE HAS CRASHED INTO THE WORLD TRADE CENTER. I was not certain WHICH WTC he meant, but, it soon became obvious. We were all glued to the TV. Everyone was in shock. You could hear a pin drop. Phones went unanswered for a period of time. Many had tears in their eyes. And then the second plane hit and we knew for certain the USA was under attack. The many scenes of that day will live in my "mind's eye" forever.

Atlanta: I was gathering my purse, briefcase, etc heading out to the office (worked really late the night before). I had just heard that there were unconfirmed reports of a small plane hitting the WTC. Didn't sound like too big a deal but I was listening. Within moments they said they now had reports it had been a much larger plane, then a commercial plane, then a commercial airliner. I could hear the reporters' stress rising in their tones with each new report. Then they said indeed it had been a commercial passenger jet. I think my mouth was hanging open and I was thinking OMG, no way was that an accident, what is happening?. I quickly prayed for the people who perished on the plane and in the tower. Then the live picture feed started. I think everyone was in shock (I was) but thought it was over in the first few minutes. I expected the fire in the tower to be put out (surely they had a sprinkler system and fire extenguishers. Then I heard a reporter question whether it was an attack upon the WTC or an act of terrorism. I called the office. I told our receptionist to turn on the TV and get my ex on the phone. I gave each one a quick briefing: the reporters were saying the United States may be or was under attack. I also instructed Laura to tell the other employees right away. Then the second tower was hit and the reporters sounded frantic declaring that we were under attack. I called the office again and told him to evacuate the office. He wouldn't listen. I drove to the office and we all stayed glued to radios and the TV all day. Atlanta was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. It felt like a ghost town. I think as many people as could go home, did. It seemed like months later, I was right. Atlanta Airport was supposed to have been one of the targets. Our office was two short city blocks off the airport...

At 9:11 am this morning I was on my knees praying for all the innocent souls and their loved ones. I also prayed to all of you there in DC. May God wrap his arms around you and protect you on your journey. I said a special prayer for you, BIllie. God Bless America.

I was in my car listening to the radio, i heard about the first plane then went into my pts home as i was a home health nurse. The tv was on and was showing the first tower hit. I then proceeded to the next pts home while listening to the radio, i arrived and asked that pt to turn the tv on which she gladly did. Another plane had hit the second tower, again in the car to the next pts home they announced the pentagon was hit, the announcer voice was quivering and i knew something was terribly wrong. I then called my husband who was off that day and told him to turn the tv on, we were under attack. His first response was "I knew this was going to happen" Ollie North had warned the govt about Osama Bin Laden and how dangerous he was which they had ignored. Let us never forget our history, how the United States obtained freedom through the sacrifices made in just over 200 yrs.

We were getting ready to go to our week long conference in Kansas City when we saw the first plane strike one of the buildings in the World Trade Center. At the beginning we though it was strange, but possibly an accident, it was terrible. Then a few minutes later we saw the second plane hit the other building and then we figured that America was under attack. A lot of things went through our minds, fear about our family and friends being in peril. We decided then to pack our bags and head back to Jacksonville by car to join our families. We will always remember this horrific day and pray that God will protect America and its freedom. Please watch the memorial video at www.bearwitness.info

Billie,
I remember driving to work that day and hearing the news on the radio and calling my wife to tell her to turn on the TV. The Andy Johnson Radio Show had just started. Andy had some new information to crucify the First Student Bus Company and he had mentioned the first plane crashing into the World Trade Center. I was on hold to go on the air when news of the second plane hitting the World Trade Center. I remember talking with Andy how this would change the United States forever.
I had to go downtown to the Bank of America Building to drop off some paperwork. I remember watching the television in the lobby of Merrill Lynch on the 37th floor of the two World Trade Center buildings burning when the television picture went to static. I later found out that the first tower had collapsed. When I got to work we just watched the news in disbelief. Three days later I was laid off from work and it would begin a hard time finding employment in a Post 9/11 United States.
I will always remember this day and pray for the brave Americans that perished on 9-11-2001.
God Bless America

I was at work when two co-workers walked up to my desk. I knew something was wrong but never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that our country was under attack.

My friends knew I was a New Yorker and I think they came to me the way they did to comfort me as I slowly fell apart. My first thoughts were of my nephews who worked in an around the WTC and of friends who also worked nearby. I called my sister and I actually got through. She said my nephew (her son) was in mid-town working. My other nephew (her son-in-law) had gotten out.

In fact, he received a "job slip" to head to the 72nd Floor of the South Tower when the first plane hit. He later told me "Aunt Patty, when I saw what happened, I hit the stairs running and never looked back". He was able to get on the last ferry to leave for Staten Island that day. He has never talked of what he saw that day.

I still get overcome with emotion whenever I talk about this, see something on tv or even now as I write about it.

I am a New Yorker, I am an American and when you wound our country, you wound us all. God bless our incredible citizens, God bless those who lost family & friends that horrible, horrible day and God bless the United States of America. Protect us Father God as we move forward, watch over us & guide us. Keep us safe & let us feel Your peace around us.

Billie, what a beautiful and deeply heartfelt post on Liberty Central. I will never, ever forget that day. Never. I thank our Lord for people like you who have stepped forward to lead and give us guidance on what to do to save our beloved country. I believe the answer is that we must truly be on God's side and I thank Him every day for our United States of America.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
