BLOCK U.S. SENATE APPROVAL OF OBAMA'S NOMINEE TO HEAD BATFE, ANTI-GUN ZEALOT ANDREW TRAVER... NOW!

It's probably not news to anyone that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) is completely out of control. In their “Project Gunwalker” program, they've been funneling American guns into Mexico. One of those guns was used by a Mexican drug runner to kill a U.S. Border Patrol Agent. The BATFE’s negligence and obsession with carrying out an anti-gun political agenda cost the life of an American law enforcement officer.

President Obama, a gun hater, has nominated anti-gun zealot, Andrew Traver, to be the new head of this federal agency whose current assumed mission is to curtail your firearms freedoms. Traver opposes private firearm sales and opposes civilian ownership of semi-automatic rifles and shotguns. Traver favors banning all gun shows and wants to give oversight of the firearms industry to the Center for Disease Control (CDC). He is totally anti-gun and was praised by the Brady Campaign for his work supporting disarming American citizens. Through this zealot, Obama will continue to push his own anti-gun socialist agenda.

Andrew Traver is also in favor of Chicago’s drastically oppressive gun laws, the same laws the Supreme Court ruled against in the McDonald case. Don't think that Traver won’t try to put in place and carry out the same jack-booted thug tactics nationwide that he did in Chicago. Gun owners cannot stand by and let Chicago's mob-style politics be imposed on all American citizens. Our freedoms under the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution are under attack and they are worth a few phone calls, e-mails, and letters to help block this outrageous nomination.

With Obama as president, we have to be extremely vigilant. He will continue to accomplish as much of his extreme agenda behind the scenes as he can. In violation of the U.S. Constitution, he legislates, regulates, and takes it upon himself to interpret the meaning and intent of the Constitution, thereby circumventing both the U.S. Congress and the Supreme Court, to whom those powers belong. We must do everything we can legally do to block his un-American agenda from going forward... before it is too late.

The U.S. Senate is constitutionally-mandated to approve or disapprove presidential nominees to head federal agencies. Please contact Florida's U.S. Senators at (202) 224-3121 and urge them to oppose the approval of nominee, Andrew Traver, to head the BATFE. And, it won't hurt to contact other U.S. Senators, as well.

J.L., I thought we would gain more new seats in Congress than we did, too. But we did lose a number of races by just a slim margin. We would have won more if the Republican establishment had gotten behind Tea Party supported candidates and the cheating had not occurred in the Alaska Senate Race with Murkowski getting to run for the same seat twice, having lost the first time. And, of course some Democrat candidates had the President, 2 former Presidents, the V.P. and other high-ranking potentates in the Democrat Party campaigning in some races as if they were running for office themselves and big money was poured into those races by the unions, the DNC, and Democrat-allied big businesses like GE. Yet, in spite of that, it was a Republican rout.

Yes, thank goodness in his case for the vicissitudes of mechanical things. I don't think any public official should be using a teleprompter. We need to see how well they can think and speak on their feet---all on their own. They should also have to write their own speeches. If I can write a speech, why can't they? It's pitiful the way Obama stammers, hesitates and stutters without his teleprompter "security blanket." We get to see then how smart he isn't. Crafty and deceitful, he is. Lies when the truth sounds better, he does. An extemporaneous speaker like Ronald Reagan, he definitely is not. When his teleprompter fell over and broke, he looked like a deer caught in the headlights. Like you, I'm fed up with the lies and deceit, as most Tea Party Patriots are. That's why we're willing to work so hard for change.

I agree that the excessive, unnecessary spending needs to stop. I read an article yesterday about the problem of duplication of services among so many different agencies, departments and commissions that duplicate services and costs to the taxpayers. There was one example of sixteen separate entities working independently in area of government that could easily have been consolidated and most of it eliminated. There's no telling how much money taxpayers pay for the fraud, waste and duplication of services we don't want.

It seems the last two Jacksonville Mayors were too caught up in their own pet projects. We need to forget about pet projects we can't afford in this economy and just fund necessities. I'd like to see the recent property tax rescinded, the budget re-written and an outside audit or forensic audit performed going back at least four years to see exactly where and for what the money was spent and if it was spent exactly according to the budget. In this election, I'm voting for Hogan, Kravitz and Rutherford, based on solid experience, prior service in the best interests of the people of Jacksonville, and truly conservative principles that will continue to serve us well. We don't need any inexperienced unknowns who just talk a good game. I didn't like the potshot Mullaney took at Hogan at the Town Hall event and his experience as an attorney doesn't necessarily qualify him to be Mayor in a time of deep recession and competing interests for less money. Hogan has the economic experience at a time when it is needed most.

NOW, BACK TO THE SUBJECT OF THE SECOND AMENDMENT AND GUN CONTROL:

Below are links to articles about "Project Gunrunner" that has now turned into an international incident:

"A report from Associated Press

Officials with Gun Owners of America are calling on the U. S. House of Representatives hold hearings. The organization alleges that the BATF allowed more than 3,000 guns to be smuggled into Mexico and wants the House Judiciary Committee to hold hearings on the issue. Alarmed at the reports that a federal agency would be involved in gun trafficking into a foreign country, Iowa Republican Sen. Charles Grassley also has sent a series of letters to acting BATF Director Kenneth Melson and Attorney General Eric Holder demanding that the Justice Department take action to bring Project Gunrunner to a halt."

http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=274449%20\%20ixzz1GWgjKj00

also confirmed yesterday that Mexican officials are infuriated "that U.S. agents allowed guns to be smuggled into Mexico as part of investigations into drug traffickers." Officials there want investigators to get answers... the Mexican Senate plans to call U. S. Ambassador to Mexico Arturo Sarukhan to testify and the lawmakers want Foreign Secretary Patricia Espinoza to demand answers from the U. S. government... there are calls stateside for hearings as well." http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=274449 and

I am posting it again:

This is very important to keep a eye on, another reason BIG government is so dangerous. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is already working hand in hand with the United Nations to sign a gun ban treaty with the U.S.A.

Here is a video clearly illustrating why our 2nd amendment is so important to keep:

J.R. Your comment on "... , it's the U.S. Senate that ratifies treaties, but they would be hard-pressed to ratify one that is unconstitutional without paying a huge price. That will be on the heels of Obama and Hillary Clinton paying a huge price politically."

President Obama would just do it from a distant like he has done with everything else, he makes it up in his slip-ups though, i LOVe it when he speaks without a teleprompter. He has kept his distance on the budget also. He is really good at deception. In my opinion both of them have killed their political careers, although i thought Bill Clinton had with the intern Monica, a 21 year old, with his 15 year old daughter and wife in residence, i really can not understand how people over look that incident. He should be labeled a sex predator. But, then she was of consenting age. I am so fed up with the lies and deceit.

I hope 2012 is good, i really thought 2010 they were going to gain more seats. We need to get a conservative majority that votes on TRUTH and that will roll back government spending and readjust the Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid programs and bring them up to solvency, as well as repealing the whole HC reform bill and getting our government back in control to BY, OF and FOR THE PEOPLE. There are so many departments that need to be eliminated or streamlined and so much spending that needs to be stopped. Personally i am very wary of assuming that Republicans are going to end up in control, just like our local race here. Many are pretending to be moderates or centrists like Brown for mayor, Moran should be running as a Democrat, i and my family are still up in the air on many candidates. My fear is voting for something on the surface to find something different underneath, just like Peyton and Delaney, they are both progressive liberals that pretended they were conservatives. At least that is my opinion.

I hope there is a special not so nice place for people like that in the after life. I am just so fed up with the lies.

J.L., unfortunately, it's the U.S. Senate that ratifies treaties, but they would be hard-pressed to ratify one that is unconstitutional without paying a huge price. That will be on the heels of Obama and Hillary Clinton paying a huge price politically. Further, it's possible to withdraw from a treaty, but serious damage can be done in the interim. And, you can bet all gun owners will be the first ones in line at polling places all over the country in 2012, and highly visible and audible in the run-up to the election. From what Larry Sabato wrote today, there are six very vulnerable Democrat U.S. Senate seats that Republicans have a good chance of picking up in the 2012 national election.  Six Democrat Senators have already announced they will not be standing for re-election and only two Republican Senators have announced they are stepping down.  I think that leaves a remaining 23  Democrat Senate seats that will be on the ballot, but only about 10 Republican seats.  So, there's a possibility of not only taking back the Senate, but doing so by a comfortable margin.

There are a hundred Senate seats and about 1/3 of them stand for re-election every six years.  Barring anything unforeseen, 2012 will be a good election year for Republicans.  For me, that can't come soon enough!

FCTP members:  The video, "What the Second Amendment is Really For," that is included in J.L Gawlik's post below, is of Suzanna Gratia-Hupp's testimony before a congressional committee,  Her story is a stunning example of why the Second Amendment is necessary and to be protected.  I viewed it twice and it is a must see.

J.R., Your are welcome...

I actually laughed when a friend sent me the email with the information about Hillary because she can make all sorts of treaties with the U.N. but it does not mean a thing unless Congress ratifies it. If she had done so or iF it had been done during the last four years when we had a dangerous Progressive Majority it would of been possible but the states would not have stood for. The problem is that our laws, constitution, branches of power have been eroded. Each time there is a progressive majority it erodes even more, we must let our elected representatives know that we will NOT stand for it and that they must uphold their oath of office. My question is WHY are elected representatives in both the executive and legislative branches allowed to lie to the American people and allowed to break their oath of office? If you did that in the private sector you would loose your job period, your reputation (at least it use to mean something) and you will become a pariah in your profession.

Thanks for your post and video link, J.L. Neither Sec. of State, Hillary Clinton, nor her anti-gun boss, Barak Obama, who is Chief Executive of the Executive Branch of the U.S. Government, have any right or legal authority to enter into any international agreement or treaty with any government or the corrupt United Nations that will take away the Second Amendment constitutional right of every American citizen.  The U.S. Constitution would have to first be amended by the sovereign states and that is not going to be a happening thing.

And, yes, I know that members of the current administration have already taken other actions that are unconstitutional and are in violation of their oaths of office. Abject refusal to enforce existing U.S. laws that protect all Americans is a prime example, such as border/immigration laws and laws prohibiting voter intimidation at the polls.  Obama also violates the Constitution by both legislating and interpreting the constitutionality of federal court rulings from his position as head of the Executive Branch, when those powers belong only to the U.S. Congress and U.S. Supreme Court, respectively.  Obama and his administration have no respect or regard for the constitutionally-mandated balance of power between the three branches of government or the constitutional rights of the American people.

Further, I believe that President Obama, who is responsible for everything he and others in his administration do, should be impeached.  He quite obviously believes our Constitution is made of silly putty that he can manipulate, misrepresent and ignore and will not be satisfied until he has totally trashed it and removed it as an impediment blocking his way to establishing a socialist state.  All you have to do is look at what he has already succeeded in violating and trashing on his rapid march to socialized medicine, taking over private businesses and banks, running up an atronomical national debt, forcing of immense deficit spending that, if unchecked, will bankrupt this nation, and transferring of wealth to each according to their political party affiliation, campaign support, and willingness to march along with him and march to his tune.  The  American people need to step up, speak up, and take action unless they are willing to lose all the protections and freedoms they now have and see their Constitution go into the dustbin of history, never to be regained.

Below is a link to a more in-depth explanation of what is going on related to BATFE's "Project Gunwalker," the furor it has caused both north and south of the U.S.-Mexico border, the investigation beginning in the U.S. Congress insisted upon by Republican U.S. Sen. Charles Grassley, and why it is so very important we do not get an even worse head of BATFE, which Andrew Taver would surely be:
