NO TUITION FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS
Tell Fla. State Officials to Oppose In-State Tuition for Illegal Aliens

Please contact your State Rep., Sen. President Gaetz and Gov. Scott and ask them to help defeat the in-state tuition bill. Instructions are included below.

READ BELOW AND CALL STATE REPS AND GOVERNOR SCOTT AND TELL THEM "NO TUITION FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS"

On March 5th, the House Education Appropriations Committee unanimously passed HB 851, a bill that would give illegal-alien students access to taxpayer subsidized in-state tuition. The measure, which has the support of House Speaker Will Weatherford, will next get a vote on the House floor.

The average in-state tuition and fee costs at a four year state college in Florida is $25,334, or about $6,336 per year. For out-of-state students and illegal aliens, the cost averages $81,560 over four years, or about $20,390 per year. Therefore, under the bill, Florida taxpayers will provide every illegal-alien student an average of $14,054 per year.

Florida Senate President Don Gaetz said he'll oppose the measure if it reaches the Senate, but hasn't said whether he'll block the bill from moving forward. Before the bill passed committee, it was amended to address one of his concerns - the large number of military bases and veterans in his district. The amendment would extend in-state tuition rates to the children of military families stationed in Florida.

HB851 also includes several other provisions that we might  not necessarily oppose but when a bill is as egregious as HB851 then it makes sense to oppose the entire bill.  (More later on how vets are shamefully being treated as sweeteners for political pandering purposes.)

Governor Rick Scott last month said he'll "consider" backing in-state tuition for illegal aliens. Scott had campaigned for governor in 2010 as a pro-enforcement candidate but backed away from his promise -- e.g., to make E-Verify mandatory for all Florida employers -- after he issued an executive order making E-Verify mandatory for state agencies and their contractors.

Tell him/her you are a VOTER and you request that he/she votes NO on HB 851, the in-state tuition bill for illegal immigrants. Taxpayers should not be forced to pay over $14,000 per year for each illegal immigrant's tuition. These difficult times, we have enough trouble putting our own kids through college. I will be watching carefully and I vote.

Thank him for saying that he will oppose HB 851, the in-state tuition bill for illegal immigrants, if it reaches the Senate. Please also use the power of his office to block passage of the bill.
You can mention that as he told reporters, this bill disenfranchises immigrants who came here "the right way." It also hurts taxpayers who will be forced to pay over $14,000 per year for each illegal immigrant's tuition. In these difficult times, we have enough trouble putting our own kids through college.

I am angry that you said you'd "consider" backing in-state tuition for illegal immigrants. You are not the pro-immigration enforcement candidate you were in 2010 so I honestly don't know if I can support you this year.
You can redeem yourself by publicly pledging to oppose HB 851 and reviving your 2010 pledge to make E-Verify mandatory for all Florida employers.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!

It is going to be a busy time and there are several more issues where we need to make contact with our elected State Officials. They are in session and making CHANGES.

God Bless You and May God Bless Our America.

The Republican-dominated Legislature has, for years, rejected calls to change the law, but this spring the outcome could be different. Some influential lawmakers, including House Speaker Will Weatherford, are voicing support for in-state tuition for undocumented students.

Senate President Don Gaetz, on the other hand, opposes allowing students who were brought into the country illegally to pay in-state rates. He said it seems unfair to allow these students to enjoy the same financial benefits as natural-born U.S. citizens and those who have gone through the correct immigration channels to become citizens.

But Gaetz said an unofficial tally this week indicated that almost half of the Senate supports a change. "Right now, it's a divided Senate," he said.

Gov. Rick Scott has said he would "certainly consider" changing the law.

The bill that Weatherford supports - HB 851 - would allow all students to qualify as residents for tuition if they attend a Florida secondary school for three consecutive years immediately before graduating high school and then apply to enroll in college within 24 months after graduation

http://miami.cbslocal.com/2014/02/19/immigration-tuition-bill-passe...;

In a statement issued after the vote, Weatherford portrayed the bill as a response to the congressional gridlock on immigration issues.

Committee approval for the bill comes less than a week after Gaetz said on The Florida Channel that he wasn't ready to support the proposal.

Just a note Governor Scott is speaking April 7 at the annual Palm Beach Strategic Forum, presented by the International Economic Forum.

Shaping the Global Agenda. The speakers at this event are pro Immigration Amnesty. CEO Tom Donahue form the US Chamber Of Commerce told Neil Cavato that they are giving money to pro Amnesty candidates. Other speaker like Gerard Baker, editor, The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones & Company; Diane Brady, senior editor, Bloomberg Businessweek; are also pro Immigration Amnesty.

This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
