Republican City Council Candidates Like Big Government.

Last night I attended a Greater Arlington Republican Club meeting where  5 City Council At-Large candidates spoke. All of them seemed very qualified and told of their goals to creates businesses, improve public safety and education, BUT not a single one of them said ONE WORD about their plans to CUT SPENDING or REDUCE THE SIZE OF CITY GOVERNMENT. Prepare yourselves for higher taxes because we have to help the poor and pay for an extremely generous and illegal Police an Fire Pension Fund.

The City of Jacksonville, like the federal and state governments, does not have any conservatives in office.  Republicans love to "tack" the conservative label onto themselves as if just saying it makes it so.    

You are right.  The City council is looking for creative ways to justify higher taxes and fees while using taxes for sports, entertainment, business investments and fun activities for people.  Taxed Enough Already....evidently not.

Elected officials, at every level of government, and the American people have completely lost sight of the function of government and the purpose of taxes.   

Look out if Lenny Curry is elected Mayor.
