What is the real enemy conservatives need to fight against in the next election?

Glenn Beck says the following:

"With Newt performing so well in the debates, which has translated into a primary victory in South Carolina, many of Glenn’s casual fans have wondered why he has been so thorough in his criticism of the former Speaker of the House. After all, if he can win debates in the primary then surely he can beat Obama in debates in the general election. After that, it’s smooth sailing to the White House, right? Wrong. Glenn isn’t looking for a progressive that will only be Obama-lite, he’s looking for a true conservative to actually save the country.

Early in the show, a fan who claimed to have been a long time listener wondered, “Why are your attacks on (Gingrich) so vicious and personal?” – but were they?

“Have you heard my attacks on Barack Obama and Woodrow Wilson? My attacks on Newt Gingrich are light compared to that. He’s a progressive,” Glenn said.

“My problem with Newt Gingrich is he is a progressive, and I will say exactly the same thing that I say about Barack Obama. Barack Obama is a liar. And I believe Newt Gingrich is a liar,” Glenn said.

Glenn brought up Newt’s love for FDR, which is on the record, and how Gingrich has been quick to downplay that affection for progressivism in order to appeal to the conservative audience.

“We have 90 seconds of very short five second clips of him for two decades extolling FDR and the New Deal. And how it fundamentally changed America for the better,” Glenn explained.

Later in the show, Glenn went on to further explain his differences with Newt Gingrich."

I agree Patricia.  Beck is not always right, and  I would not take his endorsement seriously anyway.  But there are way too many red flags pointing to Gingrich and Romney being Progressives RINOs.

Aspen is funded by George Soro's Open Society Institute.  National Review wrote of them in 2006.

The many Republicans who participate in Aspen Institute's programs, trainings and speaking events.  Here's a list:

Tim Pawlenty, Newt Gingrich,  Mitt Romney, John McCain, Wisconsin Rep Paul Ryan, Florida Senator (and "Tea Party" candidate) Marco Rubio, Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, and Congressman Erik Paulsen (Paulsen was a Rodel Fellow at Aspen with Gabrielle Giffords),Former state Rep, Current U of M Regent Laura Brod. see documentation here: http://www.looktruenorth.com/limited-government/49-conservatism/158...

Now as for the "whatever we say politically, you'll do the opposite" comment.  It is probably one of the reasons I have not been a big follower of Beck any longer.  He has gone off the cliff so to speak.  I don't in fact "follow" anyone as a rule and read a wide expanse of news sources which tends to give someone a more balanced view of things.  I also have read enough to know that your above comments are intentionally swung against Newt Gingrich when Gingrich only indicated he had great respect for the amount done by FDR and not his policies.  If you actually watched the videos about this subject, you would find that Gingrich did not agree with the programs of or the unconsitutional policies.  As far as some of the other suggestions made, NO, I will not vote for Ron Paul and your hachet jobs on other candidates won't convince me to either.

I knew I saw an article which I can't find at this point nor do I plan on wasting time looking for it.  Here is what came off the Beck website (the blaze).  He was spoofing, but an article resulted from his spoof that I recieved from another news source.  One must be careful what one says I would guess as someone took it seriously.

“Whatever we say politically, you’ll do the opposite,” Beck said Monday on GBTV. (It wasn’t clear who he meant by “you.” Perhaps he was referring to GOP primary voters in general.)

So for Beck, the next move is obvious. He sarcastically endorsed Newt this morning on his show.

“Now we’re coming clean,” Beck said. “We not only recommend, we wholeheartedly endorse Newt Gingrich.”

Did Glenn Beck endorse Newt Gingrich? Not!

Glen Beck doesn’t support Newt Gingrich. Let’s get that clear right from the start. The conservative former Fox News host considers the former House speaker a “progressive “ – yes, that’s the word Mr. Beck used today in a segment of his online GBTV show. He’s also critical of Mr. Gingrich’s marital history, and his work as a consultant for government mortgage giant Freddie Mac.

But here is where the misunderstanding came from.  Glen said he was endorsing the progressive Gingrich, because when he endorses someone people do the opposite:  see article here:

http://www.glennbeck.com/2012/01/23/glenn-endorses-newt-gingrich/

But the most important thing is what John explains below:  Like it or not, it is what it is, and Gingrich knows it.

You think Bill?  I don't think that will happen but thanks for the warning to watch for something to happen...............may not exactly be what some of the folks are expecting.

Roma, Glenn Beck ENDORSED Newt Gingrich and said he was trying to throw people off.  The tapes are worthless as he was spoofing you...............He thought if he endorsed him early, it might turn some folks against Gingrich.  There have been a couple of articles about it including one in the blaze.

The Romney-Gingrich-Santorum Trojan Horse is about to be swept under the rug.  The Globalists have used these three dupes to pound and censor Ron Paul long enough to prepare their Great Plan.  So prepare folks, HERE COMES JEB BUSH, Globalist Shill #4:  --->

Glenn is big on people doing their own homework, and many just rely on him to tell them what they should do, so I guess this is a teachable moment for many.  He was not telling everyone who really really wanted for president and when you read the article about it, you realize it.

Glenn Beck endorsed Newt Gingrich yesterday or the day before.  He said he knew if he said he supported Newt, it would turn some away from him and didn't want that to happen, but now has come out and indicated support.

Glenn went crazy over Tea Partiers supporting Newt.  He asked where are we?  Were our words only that?  Did we not learn anything?  History about ready to repeat itself, and by the very people who should know better.  I will vote Santorum, though I am not all that excited by him either.  Time to hold my nose again.
