They called him at the last minute and asked him to attend.  Brown was already called and they set it up around Brown's scheduel.  Mike Hogan had another event to go to and could nto make a change.  The event he was attending was very large and could not be rescheduled.

 

This is just another ploy by the media to make Mike look bad. 

 

And yes there are people in town from the unions and other Socialist organizations.  We know it and you can be fooled to think it isn't so.  It is.

Yesterday, you physically attacked a friend, without provocation and without justification. Not just my friend, but a friend to many—thousands and thousands across America.

I think Billie and I misread your post.  We thought you were doubting that Union thugs were here.  But, in fact,  you clearly state:

"and if you think Obama hasn't sent people to Jacksonville, you're wrong."

 

Sorry Mr. Pike...I think Billie explains why Hogan was not at the debate you reference. ...can't be in two places at once.

The question was answered Mr. Pike.  He was at another event that was on his calendar BEFORE he was asked to attend this one.  What the heck is the matter with you.  What other answer do you want?

Why are you attacking me? You know, every time I have disagreed with you or any of your members, I have been personally attacked. Why do you think that is? All I did was ask where he was, does it bother anyone else but me, what kind of message does it send, and will he act the same way when he is mayor? The only answer you offered me was why he wasn't there, essentially blaming it on the opponent and the media. I have another question, what event could he not pull himself away from? It was obviously more obliging to him than facing his opponent in a debate. Doesn't he owe the voters every opportunity to hear him take on the opposition? There are some of us that want to hear the plans he has to move this city into the future challenges it will face.

I am not attacking you Mr. Pike.  The answer is the answer.  When the tv station decided to hold this event, they called Mr. brown and asked when he would be available.  They did not ask Mr. Hogan that question.  they told Mr. Hogan when the debate was going to be held.

 

Mr. Hogan already had a big event to attend.  wAs he suppose to change it because the tv station decided to do this without first asking if he could?

 

There were other debates and there was plenty of opportunity to hear Mr. Hogan adn Mr. Brown.  Sorry you were relying on this event to make your decision.

Alvin Brown spouts nothing but platitudes, and any so called debate is nothing more than an oppotunity for him to make irresponsible accusations. He has little substance and is relying strictly on exposure! I read the replies to you, and it is obvious that you are a democrat plant!

Mr. Pike, I ask you, why didn't Alvin Brown find time during the last several months to meet with the First Coast Tea Party?  Not one minute over those months?  Does that not concern or bother you?

Thank you Mr. Tucker for your response, although it didn't answer my questions it did however respond in a civil and courteous manner. Unlike Mr. Henderson who knows nothing of which he speaks. It is because of my conservatism that I ask such questions. It is a shame that members like Mr. Henderson give the FCTP a black eye.

I am a Republican and could care less about what Alvin Brown does or looks like. I do however, care about what my candidate does and how he looks. Mr. Tucker has answered one of my questions and as of yet none of the other questions have been answered. It's too bad that a genuine conservative gets attacked and called "a plant" for just asking simple questions. To answer your question, I think Alvin Brown is not stupid and knows it is not to his advantage to have a conversation with the FCTP. If you want to address any of the other questions I have, please feel free to do so.
