Just when you think you can move on to another issue, here come the dirty tricks!
Senator Bill Nelson is evidently behind a lawsuit that will be filed Monday (tomorrow). It will challenge Governor Scott’s decision to return the taxpayers’ money to DC that had been set aside for High Speed Rail. Lawsuit alleges he has overstepped his authority to do…

Like everyone else in the audience, I listened intently to the three mayoral candidates in attendance at the FCTP event and I came away knowing who I would support and why. I am supporting Mike Hogan. For many years we citizens have failed in our duties and responsibilities to consistently select principled representatives that could be trusted to act in our best interest and to protect, rather than capriciously spend, our tax dollars. I trust Mike Hogan.
While Rick Mullaney is an…

As a FCTP member well into my second year, I volunteered to assist in whatever way I could at the event last night. What I saw last night is exemplified by the battle going on inside of the Republican Party since the advent of the Tea party movement. We see the grass roots Tea Partiers vs. those who just want to co-opt the energy of what was started with Rick Santelli’s rant in February of 2009. The most insidious part of this attempt to co-opt the movement is an all out attempt for the…

I ask that you take some time out and listen to the forum and the interviews. This city needs Warren Lee for Mayor. I believe that Jacksonville needs a Mayor that's ready day one. Does it really make a huge difference that he's a conservative democrat and not a republican. Jacksonville doesn't carry a political party on its shoulder, it carries a deficit and that's neither republican nor democratic

Last night, forum was more than interesting. I wanted to hear all the candidates, and I had learned enough about Mike Hogan that I was leaning towards voting for him. Rick Mullaney I could not vote for because he was the general counsel that got us into this mess.
Hogan seemed nervous to me, he has had a tough week dealing with his ridiculous Bombing comment and the trial issue. I have concerns about his union endorsements. I decided to blog here after I see names of people who are…

Mike Hogan proved he could cut taxes and get Jacksonville back on track last night. His ethics soared above the other candidates when one stooped so low as to "sling mud" and try to distort the facts! Mike stood high above the others and said, "I stand before you as an open book. I'm not ashamed of anything I've done."
Let's look at the facts:
1. Mike has streamlined the Tax Collectors budget and reduced spending over 20% in the 8 years he has…

Governor Scott is at it again - working to keep the promises he made on the campaign trail (and perturbing liberals while doing so). Florida has once again rejected federal funds for the high speed rail thanks to the efforts of Governor Scott, the State chapters of the Tea Party, and concerned conservative voters.
High speed rail was touted as a necessary project for a struggling economy and the ultra-high unemployment that we suffer in the great State of Florida. Countless…

The other day on a Southwest Airlines flight back to Houston, I saw him, Cooter. He was one big dude, and he was making his way down the aisle of the plane carrying his duffel bag and his hardhat. As usual, his hardhat was decorated with stickers from most of the…

Should we be having the discussion about making unionized teachers pay more for their benefits and change union negotiation rules or should we be forcing the public school system in Wisconsin into the private market solution and an improvement in the education the children of Wisconsin gets. Whatever way Wisconsin goes, the other states should follow. In Wisconsin, public education eats up more and more tax dollars while the education system there gets worse and worse, and…

The comment was from Rep. Michael Capuano (D-Mass.). Guess cleaning up rhetoric is only for conservatives. The comments were made in front of a group of union members in Boston.
As an aside, an interview was done last night about a group of school teachers in Massachusetts that were rallying behind Governor Walker and controls on their…

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
