Grassroots Leadership Academy Level 1 Jacksonville
Tuesday Evenings
Syllabus
WEEK 1 – Tuesday, April 11
Making The Case For Economic Freedom
Ever felt like if we could just communicate our ideas better, then we could truly win hearts and minds for freedom? In this session, you’ll learn how to talk about free-market ideas in a way that connects with people. You’ll learn from the experts how to take your ideas and transform them into messages that work!
WEEK 2 – Tuesday, April 18
A Brief History Of Grassroots Activism
An organized minority can beat an unorganized majority any day of the week. Throughout history, small groups of highly organized individuals have risen to change the world. Utilize the lessons that can be learned from these groups to see how you too can affect positive change in your community.
How The Left Operates
We’ll evaluate the strategies, tactics and organizing principles the Left has used to enact their big government agenda. By understanding how the other side thinks, acts, and connects with the public, you’ll learn how to fight back so you too can inspire individuals to embrace free market principles and individual liberty.
WEEK 3 – Tuesday, April 25
Building Communities
Learn how to build and organize communities of like-minded activists and supporters. The words “network” and “community” are often used interchangeably, but they’re far from one in the same. Here you’ll learn the difference between the enthusiastic, interactive nature of communities and the informed, but unengaged, members of networks. In this class, you’ll discover how to bridge the gap between communities and networks to be sure your volunteers feel valued.
WEEK 4 – Tuesday, May 2
Sharing Freedom By Telling Your Story
To engage people at the deepest level, you need a story. Stories allow people to relate and feel empathy, compassion, and trust. People follow not because of WHAT you do, but WHY you do it. In this session, you’ll learn how your personal story touches others lives and inspires them. How did freedom come into your life? Here you’ll discover how to tell your story in a way that sparks action!
WEEK 5 – Tuesday, May 9
Persuasive Messaging
Ever heard a stirring speech and been inspired to get up and take action? Or read an article that changed your entire perspective on an issue? If so, then the art of persuasion was at work. In this session, you’ll master the tools citizen leaders can use to more effectively communicate the case for freedom. You’ll learn how to persuade and inspire potential supporters, activists, elected officials, and the media!
WEEK 6 – Tuesday, May 16
Data, Technology, and Freedom
From Facebook, Twitter, Vine, and Snapchat, in an ever-changing digital landscape it can be hard to navigate which app are which. Learn to maximize the potential of your Facebook and Twitter accounts to identify, educate, and mobilize friends and community supporters.
This is not a FCTP event but is provided for your education
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
