Pursuant to Chapter 447, Florida Statutes, and upon notification from the representatives of the Mayor of the City of Jacksonville that the Mayor has rejected the recommendations of a special magistrate as to the resolution of issues that have been taken to impasse as part of collective bargaining, I am setting a special Council meeting for the Council to consider Resolution 2012-24 to resolve the outstanding impasse issues.

Agreed Tom!  But who knew as many talk a good game, but when it comes to the hard decisions, kicking the can down the road always seems to be easier.

Robert, so many have worked so hard to find a way to fix a problem that is bankrupting our city, but our fine men in blue today added to the problem rather than even attempt to fix the problem that will leave many of them with no retirement at all when the city goes bankrupt and people start getting out of this place we call Jacksonville!

the police and the fireman make to much money now , why do so many people put them on a pedestal, there are alot more dangerous jobs out there paying alot less, nobody forced them to take the job, they choose it

This is totally something that anyone would be furious about if they knew what the city agreed to.  It is sad and certainly not one bit in favor of the taxpayers.........................it is corrupt and without a doubt the police of this city are corrupt.  I was sick at what I saw at this meeting, and I would guarantee that if most of your had been there, you would have been as well.

This event has been cancelled as the police union has reached an agreement on the impasse on January 11th.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
