Speaker for the month of February is Curtis Lee.

Curtis is a retired attorney who managed a public pension fund ethically and with great success. He will be discussing the Jacksonville Police and Fire Pension (a lawsuit) and is an expert on this subject having been involved in this aspect of city governance and a watch dog activist for the local pension fund. He is very well informed.  I look forward to this presentation.   Many of you who attended the meeting last year where Curt spoke on this same issue, that he is very knowledgeable.

I hope you will come to this very informative meeting on an important local issue.  The police and fire pension is what has our city in a financial quagmire and a resolution needs to be found.  Curtis Lee is an expert on the problems that rifle the board that handles this fund, and can provide the information needed to allow for actions that might “fix” the problems we currently have as a city.  Our new meeting place is a great location, and we will be in what used to be the room where you used to go to vote; there is plenty of parking in the lot close by!   We very much look forward to seeing you!
