Subject: The Pension Fund, Adkins, our City Council and a Workshop Thurs 1/15
This is for information and includes the date and time for a workshop on the pension fund being held by Rep Adkins.
For many of us here in Arlington who know Ted Wendler, we know he was at the forefront to push for action on the pension (and spent countless hours, days, and nights working on it and became a member of the TRUE Commission and worked on it some more), because of issues with under funding that were digging a very large debt hole that was going to eventually bankrupt our city and Ted had the numbers and graphs to show doubters and worked tirelessly to make people aware of our rather dire situation. HE brought it to the forefront, and fortunately, it is now an almost daily subject in the TU and has local and state legislators taking actions finally. A solution needs to be found, and we can only hope one will! And I might add that the Times Union did a fine job making the taxpayers of Jacksonville aware that there WAS a problem.
Here is the latest article which will make you aware that the governor has been asked to agree to an investigation and information about Representative Adkin's Workshop which is taking place Thursday, January 15 from 11 AM to 1 PM (allowing working folks a chance to attend).
The pension workshop is scheduled for January 15, 2015 from 11:00 to 1:00 in Jacksonville City Hall, in the Don Davis room.

With no word from Gov. Scott, Rep. Adkins takes pension investigation into her own hands
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
