Congress is back in session after their August summer break and 60% of the congress did not hold a town hall. Apparently the “they work for us” concept has been filed away as an archive record. However, here at our local level we still have some elected officials that have not relegated this concept to antiquity.

On September 22, 2011 at the Mandarin Community Club on Mandarin Road, Councilman Matt Schellenberg will hold a town hall. Councilman Schellenberg has been fighting the budget issues with integrity and a resolute belief that elected officials are to be servants to those they represent.

This is the same day of our monthly Mandarin – Julington Creek meeting; subsequently, our monthly meeting is cancelled so members may attend the town hall.

Mark your calendar and plan to join us for both an enjoyable and informative evening with Councilman Schellenberg at the Mandarin Community Club at 6:30pm.
