Event Description

Today you may be planning your Memorial Day cookout. You might be heading to the grocery store to pick up your supplies or pulling out the beach bag and readying it for some time of sun and surf. We hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day and you enjoy the feeling of celebrating freedom in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Before you head out to your festivities we encourage you to join us at the Duval County Memorial Wall and pay honor to those who died so you can enjoy this day. If you have never attended the Memorial Day event, you have missed a memory of a lifetime. Your children will benefit from this experience and this year is especially memorable.

The Wall will have a new section added to it. More have died for freedom to reign. Just this last week, a young man – 19 years old – from Gainesville was killed in Afghanistan. His name is Lance Cpl. Philip P. Clark and instead of heading to the beach with his buddies, he will be laid to rest forevermore. His family is grieving and we grieve with them as well. We thank them for the ultimate sacrifice their son paid.

Many have chosen to stand for freedom for us and other across the globe. And many have died doing so. Please take an hour out of your day tomorrow to remember those sacrifices. The event starts at 10:00 and is located adjacent to the Jaguar Stadium. Bring a tissue.

Watch this video and share it with your family and friends.

Visited the National Cemetary in Bushnell yesterday. Have some beautiful pictures. My in-laws are there, both Officers and served in WWII.. My Dad is at home in Vermont. I placed his flag there in April..He served 5 years. 3 of them fighting on the Pacific Islands. I have such respect for them and all that they gave so that we and others might be free. My heart aches for the Country right now, they would be so saddened by the events of today...God bless all our Veterans and their families and God Bless and Protect our America See you all tomorrow.

This is the time that we pay honor to those who have died fighting for liberty and freedom throughout all the years to the beginning of our country and we can never pay enough in their honor.

I volunteered at the JAX National Cemetery as a Jacksonville Lady when it opened and I am proud of the fact that no vet who is laid to rest there is alone. The Ladies will be there as they are at Arlington

"Patriot Man George" will not be there either but make no mistake his spirit will. He will be there floating above us and among the spirits of the other fine young men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country so we may continue to enjoy the liberty and freedoms we now have today. I will be PRIVILEGED, PROUD, HUMBLED, and HONORED to serve with other "patriots" of the First Coast Tea Party in presenting the colors for tomorrows ceremony .... God Bless America and "Sempre Fi"

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
