Greetings everyone!
I sincerely hope this finds everyone safe and well. Since our last meeting, we have had so many people that contracted the virus. Sadly, as we well know, we lost several members and dear friends. My heart goes out to any and everyone who was sick and to any family that lost loved ones. There is no explanation as to why this came on so fast and furious.
As we all know, the news for our country is extremely troubling. So much has happened in just the short time since our last meeting on July 12. We have become a country that cannot be trusted by our allies and our own citizens. As we all shake our heads and ask what can any of us do, we will continue to march on. We will stay together and together we continue to fight for our beloved country. One thing we must do especially for our upcoming elections is work to ensure the integrity of voting. We must step up and get involved in the voting process. Our next meeting will Monday, September 13 and our speaker will be Robert Phillips with the Supervisor of Elections Office. It is time we all will have to sacrifice a little of our time to work a poll or be poll watchers. I know Robert will be able to give us insight in how the elections work here in Jacksonville. I know many of you have worked the polls in the past.
We are blessed that the New Berlin Road Church will continue to be our meeting place. I am so sad that we had just gotten to know Pastor Meadows when we lost him. Our meet, greet and eat time will be 5:30 – 6:30 with the meeting starting at 6:30. We will there at 5:00 to set up the tables and chairs if anyone can come and assist with that. We will have a food truck available and the menu is attached. I hope that you will support this young man. The food sounds delicious and I have heard great reviews. In addition, we will have a dessert bar set up. We are asking for a $5.00 donation and that includes as many desserts as you would like to sample. Did I mention the majority will be homemade. YUM!
If you have any questions or need information before the 6th, just let me know.
Blessings,
LeAnne
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
