Am on my way-just outside of Savannah-hope to see more nieghbors on the way!
Think the important view of the Fair Tax is that even the illegals and the parasites would finally be paying some taxes!

The Fair Tax already has a base tax of 23% which is ALREADY in everything we buy in America, hence the mechanism of the tax is already built into the system. The Fair Tax simply removes business taxes and collects the 23% percent tax at the cash register when the sale is made. Some items in our economy will increase by 2-3 cents if they fall below the 23%, some could decrease if over that amount. Remember, if the Fair tax amendment is established, IRS abolishment must be mandated. The purpose of Fair Tax is to replace the income tax and IRS. All Federal taxes will be collected as a sales tax with exemptions for necessities of life paid for by a "rebate" check to individuals and families based on formula established as a monthly total of purchases. The flat tax is a continuation of the income tax. Founding fathers preferred as consumption tax over income taxes. There is no need to "hide" income or stash dollars in offshore accounts under the Fair tax. Everyone, including illegal aliens, tax cheats, etc. participate in the economy when purchasing any product or service, but many underreport income or not report at all, therefore millions of dollars in taxes are not collected in the U.S.. Income reporting is not necessary under the Fair Tax, your taxes are collected at purchasing point, NO EXCEPTIONS based on citizenship, income level, location, etc.. ALL WILL PARTICIPATE equally based on purchasing power, not tax exemptions or penalities.

It's past time to retake control of our tax system and stop allowing politicians to use it as a means of collecting "Campaign Contributions" from lobbyist, industries, and individuals who desire special treatment.

With more than 170,000 pages (that's right, one hundred seventy thousand) no two experts are able to determine what the correct tax even individuals owe. This has been proven when a standard set of "uncomplicated" circumstances were given to more than 40 tax experts, including multiple tax experts from the IRS. When the results were turned in, no two results were the same and the range varied from owing tens of thousands to a return of over $40,000.

The tax code is routinely used to coerce public behavior as well as to punish individuals.

There are two viable options under consideration by many: 1) Flat Tax, 2) FairTax. Both represent a major improvement and true fairness. However, only the FairTax assures everyone pays their fair share regardless of the source of income and only the FairTax will dramatically increase high paying manufacturing jobs and the return of offshore manufacturing jobs.

I advocate that the FairTax but propose a tax rate of no more than 15% with the caveat that increases can only be made with a 2/3rds vote in both houses. This lower rate is possible if we include the needed spending cuts and enhanced controls. Specifically:

1) Balance Budget Amendment
2) Presidential Line Item Veto Authority
3) Requirement all earmark budget items be approved by 2/3rds vote
4) Thorough audit of all government departments, agencies, etc to assure their areas of responsibility, authority and actions are in full compliance with the enumerated powers of the Federal Government (http://www.info-quest.org/Enumerated.html)
5) 40% across the board reduction in Federal Civilian employment within 5 years (Can come from elimination of Federal Departments, Agencies, etc. (Education, Energy, et al) or a simply body count reduction

If we combine targeted spending cuts, elimination of non-authorized spending, and excesses with a change in the tax code we will regain our freedom while dramatically improving the economy.

One of the steps we need to take for liberty in America: WE NEED A FEDERAL SUNSHINE LAW FOR CONGRESS! Any meeting of two or more members of Congress discussing our nation's business should REQUIRE minutes of meeting recorded by media, no matter if it's at a coffee shop or martini bar! NO MORE SECRET MEETINGS AND BACKROOM DEALS. Wash. politicians work for the PEOPLE, WE THE PEOPLE ARE THEIR EMPLOYERS! It's time for the people to set some rules! Why should meetings be secret when they work for U.S. the people on OUR business? Unless it involves classified info, all legislation and deals should be kept in the SUNSHINE of transparency! Tea Party needs to take up this as a GOVT. REQUIREMENT for politicians. The RATS can't hide when the SUNSHINES on them!

Since I will be visiting my father in Massachusetts, I am physically attending the second to last stop of the Tea Party Express on April 14th in Boston. It is heartwarming to see so many people finally taking an interest in what is happening to this country and saying "no more".

STOP SPENDING! Just stop! Just like we have all had to here in our private lives. And "stop spending" does not mean building $1B embassies. It does not mean expanding health insurance, or spending millions to ensure the safety of both a terrorist and a city in the US to hold a trial here instead of the traditional and expected military tribunal. It does not mean upgrading the hospitality area of congress, or expanding the staffs of the executive, judicial or legislative branches. It does not mean taking large entourages all over the world to sell a twisted vision of America...or even to compete for the Olympics. Just stop. Since the message does not seem to have resonated with our elected officials, it is highly likely the next elections will result in a whole new congress. A real change for America. And that is something we can look forward to.

Amen to that comment. The truth must be said, the public is not informed and needs to be. The entitlement era needs to end today. I am sick and tired of the Government trying to tell me what , when, where, and how to do things. That is not what the government is meant to be. It is to defend this Country. Government needs to keep its nose out of the people's business. We need to develop what our brave men and women need to keep defending us. English needs to be the one and only language taught in our schools. If you go to any other country you have to learn their language not the other way around. We have to do a better job at keeping our enemies away from our shores, if necessary when questionable people come to this country we should microchip them as we do animals for our safety. If they object they can stay in their own country. We need to implement the Fairtax and get rid of the system that is draining the people.

It's incredible that Americans aren't marching down the street to the White House to demand a stop to the bankrupting of this country. The ignorance of citizens who never watch the news or politics, yet complain when taxes and costs go up, remember $4.00 gas? It'll be $5.00 next time. These same citizens voted for Barack Obumbler because he was "cool" and hip, didn't understand when he said "fundamentally transforming America" he meant govt. control socialism. He has given the wealth of America away to China, India, and Japan in debt this country can never pay-trillions of dollars in debt and billions in interest payments. The U.S. owes $5 Trillion to the Federal Reserve and we can't even get an independent audit of those 12 privately owned banks. It's time to throw the RATS in Wash. OUT!

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
