On Saturday December 14, 2013 our military, our veterans and our fallen heroes will be honored at 850 locations around the country, including here at the Jacksonville National Cemetery. Wreaths Across America will be placing a Christmas wreath on each and every headstone. The ceremony begins at 11:45 a.m. It is an incredible event. It is not a political event, it is an American event. Arrive early.
Please go to the website (see below) and donate. $15 will buy one wreath, $30 will buy two. Do your part to make sure every fallen hero has a wreath. Volunteer. Call Ralph and ask him if he needs help unloading wreaths from the trucks and staging them. Whatever you can do, call Ralph and let him know.

As always I hope this email finds everyone doing well. On behalf of the Patriot Guard Riders and our other Fundraising Groups we thank you for your support of Wreaths Across America 2013 at the Jacksonville National Cemetery! With your support we will once again be able to place a wreath upon every headstone!!
Busses or large capacity vans needed!
With the Columbarium and Ossuary Garden/Memorial Wall on the back side of the cemetery and having three off site overflow parking areas we need volunteers to help transport people to the program area. So far we have the Boy Scouts of Troop 268 bus and a bus from Mandarin United Church!! Along with two groups with vans offering to help! THANK YOU! If anyone can help us in getting a couple more busses/vans that will help out a lot. If you do, please have the driver let our parking volunteers know they are here to help shuttle participants.
Chairs/Seating
Please feel free to bring a chair or two. If anyone knows of a group or organization that will loans us chairs to use either pass along my contact information or just let them know to be at the cemetery at 9:00am. A couple of people have already asked about getting a church to bring out chairs but we sure could use more.

Red Hat Brigade
This year we had a number of people purchase the Wreaths Across America Early Education package!! Personally I am so looking forward to seeing these young Americans joining us and placing wreaths this year!
As always the Wreaths Across America program is open to the public. If you would like to participate in any way please join us. Please remember if you know someone that is also attending please carpool! Parking is limited and we are anticipating more participants than last year, so carpooling will be a big help.
If this will be your first time joining us, bringing a pair of cheap cotton gloves is advised. With the wreaths being made of fresh balsam fir they do have sap on them!
We look forward to you joining us on the 14th.
Received word yesterday the 3rd that I will be receiving an email soon with information related to the events of the day including times for those who have volunteered to place wreaths on the graves of our hero's. Will put it out here as soon as I receive it.. Thanks for being so patient.
Marty, thanks so much. Lots of children participate so your little ones will fit right in.
I will post updates here as I get them. Leanne
Kim, I have been in touch with Drem as I worked with him last year. As soon as I have additional information I will post here and on our FB page. Thanks for putting this up.
Pat, thanks so much. I need to get in touch with them and let them know we will be there. I will do that now and keep you and others updated here.
Leanne Hi have 7 people that helped unload the trucks last year that want to help again this year??? I will be happy to help you with this project just let me know. Pat Welch 465 1482
If you want to volunteer to lay the wreaths please let me know by making a comment on this page. We usually get there early and work in teams. It is an moving site to watch the trucks arrive, the sun come up and the color of the wreaths honor our hero's as they are laid by the headstones. Leanne
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
