The man/ woman who is closest to the following:

he First Coast Tea Party’s mission is to promote the principles of our founding fathers – individual liberty and responsibility, limited government and moral leadership.

We believe our mission statement is concise, focused and hopefully speaks to ALL Americans.

The tea party movement strives to embrace the concerns of all Americans, to focus on the issues, to inform the electorate of the activities of “our” government and to share ideas on how to restore our country to a constitutional footing intended by our founding fathers.

Those Americans who participate in the Tea Party Movement are free thinkers and individuals who want to be a part of “their” government, regain their liberties and fulfill the God given promises set forth in the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.

The tea party movement places no labels on anyone and is open to all who share our mission and want to have a voice in America’s future.

We are a nonprofit, grassroots group comprised of Americans of all walks of life who contribute their individual skills to the effort. Our primary tools are personal conversations, letters, rallies, visits to the offices of elected officials, telephone calls, discussion groups, educational and informational sessions, media coverage, news releases and independent Tea Party groups.

We are NOT affiliated with any political parties or interest groups.

The First Coast Tea Party founded in Jacksonville, Florida is powered by participants who volunteer sincerely in the movement.

We are patriots who believe elected officials are sworn to serve the country and their constituents transparently. They should be motivated by a desire to preserve and protect America and to uphold the principles that assure ALL Americans of thier constitutional rights, including life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

We are proud to be Americans and firmly believe in its youth and its future.

Michelle Bachman.

Ron Paul

Ron Paul.

He understands economic science, predicted in 2003 the housing bubble, understands that the free market has to correct these matters and that with artificial stimuli we merely prolong the inevitable.

He currently serves as the chairman of the Subcommittee on Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology and was successful at getting the Fed (which is as federal as FedEx) at least partially audited against opposition for a full audit. He continues to advocate a dramatic reduction in the size of the federal government and a return to constitutional principles.

His plan would cut one trillion dollars in year one of his term.  Check out the plan online: http://www.ronpaul2012.com/the-issues/ron-paul-plan-to-restore-amer...

This man has served in congress for quite some time, having been elected time and time again (unelectable?). He knows firsthand how things work and knows that all this talk about cutting spending by the supercommittee was "just talk," they only want to reduce projected spending, not cut back on anything; so many voters don't even realize this.

Oh but he can't debate Obama you say?  Why not?  Do you want a candidate that debates via sloganeering or someone who sticks to his facts and has been saying the same thing for thirty years.

He's a medical doctor--he knows, again firsthand, what drives up the cost of medical care and how government intervention spikes the cost of any service with which it involves itself.

Go to his official site; see if he may be more aligned with your positions on the issues than you may have thought.  Please don't let Fox News, CNN, MSNBC ad nauseum tell you how to vote or who is electable. That's up to us not the talking heads that are paid to entertain via their own editorials and sell books.

Thank you.

That is an exact copy past of the Mission Statement of The First Coast Tea Party. You can find it on the Home page of this site.  Where you not aware of it before Bioyl?

Within our ranks are independents and yes, some democrats that are very much against what their party stands for. There are Republicans (like myself) who agree with the Constitution, lower taxes and limited government which is what the Republican Party is suppose to stand for.  But we are against what  the RINO (Republicans In Name Only) have made of the party...

P.S. Many of us who joined the First Coast Tea Party in its early days joined because we felt the Republican Party  no longer represented us, and the Democratic party certainly did not represent us.  We wanted the Republican Party to return to what it was intended to be, not what it had become.

I think it important to read the FCTP Mission Statement because we were never intended to become the GOP.  We would however like for the GOP to become more like us.

Here is Numbers USA's Report on Newt Gingrich:

The most recent polling finds that Republican voters have elevated Newt Gingrich to presidential frontrunner status. But it is difficult to believe that those supporting him agree with his amnesty plan, or are even aware that his proposal sounds like it would give U.S. jobs and residency to around 3.5 million illegal aliens (according to a new Pew Hispanic Center study). Unless Gingrich supporters push him to back off, he is promising a bigger amnesty than the giant blanket amnesty of 1986 that was supposed to be the first and last one ever.

(Watch the recording of our webcast yesterday that focused on the details of Gingrich's official immigration platform.)

Former House Speaker Gingrich agrees with Presidents Bush and Obama that the only major options for illegal aliens are deporting them or legalizing them (choices that nearly all mainstream media also insist on). His official immigration platform gives no hint of recognizing that there is a third option -- Attrition Through Enforcement -- that eliminates the jobs and benefits magnets for illegal aliens so that they will self-deport back to their home countries. Thus, Gingrich is at odds with most of the other GOP candidates and most GOP Members of Congress who favor the Attrition option.

It is obvious ( at least to me ) that Gingrich is now the front runner in the polls for one reason only. That is because he is a good speaker, debater and comes across as very intelligent. Does that sound like Obama in 2008? Nobody ( especially the media ) looked into his background and fell for his message of "change". Nobody asked what kind of change! Anyone who looked into his history ( what little was available ) would have realized that he was, at best, a far left liberal / progressive / communist. Now the same thing is happening with Gingrich. If you l;ooked a gingrich's history with out having listened to him speak you would have to conclude that he is, at best, a liberal / progressive democrat. His history is totally at odds with his words.

Our constitution was written for a moral, well informed people. Without that foundation it cannot work! The current sorry state of our country is the fault of we the citizens. Don't blame the corrupt politicians in power. We are the ones who put them there and let them stay. We are the ones that have been too busy with our sports, reality TV, soap operas etc. to bother to keep up with what our "leaders" have been up to. If we have kept up with the news at all it has been through the liberal media which has been intentionally hiding the truth from us. The worst thing to happen to the corruptocrats is the rise of the internet as a source of uncensored, if not unbiased, news. Ask yourself why do they now want control of the internet and talk radio.

Here and on other similar forums we are "preaching to the choir". Our real job as patriots is to get ourselves informed and to educate others. We must first reform ourselves and others to get back to that moral and informed population that the Constitution requires. Then our government will follow.

Right on Robert: as you say, " We must first reform ourselves and others to get back to that moral and informed population that the Constitution requires. Then our government will follow."

  • Unconstitutional Laws:  Do unconstitutional laws supersede the Constitution or is it the reverse? Does the President have the power to declare war as a result of the Powers Act?  If you are interested in answers to these questions, this article is for you.

Roma and Tom;
Thanks for the links to your site. I visited the site and found it to be
a very valuable resource. I saved a link to your index and will be
referring to it often. Hope you don't mind if I post links to it
on other forums that I frequent.

Re: who should win the Republican presidential nomination and why?

I won't tell you who should win! That's for you to decide for yourself. But don't decide just by listening to the candidates; do your homework, look at their history. Do their words match their actions? The good news is that people at the New Hampshire 912 project have done most of your homework for you. I have posted these links before, but I will repeat them here.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
