Ok, so who is the Tea Party backing for the Republican nomination? For President? I'm sure you all have done more reseach than I have, so I'd be interested in reading your opinions.

Newt Gingrich says his favorite president was the Progressive, Liberal Democrat FDR. He also talks about a transition bigger than, if not bigger than (FDR’s) New Deal.
Joseph Story was Justice of the Supreme Court from 1811 to 1845. He was born three years after the Declaration of Independence, and his father served in the American Revolution. So he is a most reliable source for information concerning the Constitution and Early American History. OK, so what does he say on the matter?
In other words, the Constitution is the supreme law of the Land with treaties and laws subordinate to it. The Constitution can not be changed by a simple law, one must follow the legal procedures of amending the Constitution to do so.
If you want to see the difference between the remaining candidates, just watch either of the South Carolina debates. Newt is the only one up there with any gonads. Then if you want to see what kind of class he has, just watch his speech after the SC primary. He showed a lot of class, he mentioned all three of the other candidates and gave them credit and appreciation for their strengths.............yet Romney and Santorum just acted like a couple of sour losers with no sportsmanship........................
Take time to look at the video, Jack. He tells you he is a progressive liberal democrat, and his record backs it up.
Gingrich was asked if he agreed with Mitt Romney on the individual mandate.
“Well, I agree that all of us have a responsibility to pay — help pay for health care,” Gingrich responded. “And, I think that there are ways to do it that make most libertarians relatively happy. I’ve said consistently we ought to have some requirement that you either have health insurance or you post a bond.”
For the Founders, foreign and domestic policy were supposed to serve the same end: the security of the people in their person and property. Therefore, foreign policy was conceived primarily as defensive. Foreign attack was to be deterred by having strong arms or repulsed by force. Alliances were to be entered into with the understanding that a self-governing nation must keep itself aloof from the quarrels of other nations, except as needed for national defense. Government had no right to spend the taxes or lives of its own citizens to spread democracy to other nations or to engage in enterprises aiming at imperialistic hegemony.
Roma and Tom, you just made my point for me.............read that paragraph above very closely. Foreign policy = is suppose to deter attack by peace through strength or repulse with force. Alliances are to be entered into for national defense and not just to spread democracy...............As I said, we do not need to be policing the world but we do need to protect our own interests. Ignoring the rest of the world and expecting it to go away is naive and just wont work.
That kind of thinking is exactly what gave us John McCain last time and what is probably going to give us romney this time, but go ahead and vote for Ron Paul if you have to. The washington establishment, Obama and his media machine will greatly appreciate it.
Jack, read the whole thing without taking it out of context. More importantly Gingrich is a self defined Progressive/ liberal democrat, and follows the foreign policies not of the Founders, but of progressives. He is not a conservative.
And btw, please do yourself a favor and don't read or suggest any links to politico..........they are not a crediable source. You would be better off suggesting links to the national enquirer, because unlike politico the enquirer does actually report more than just gossip and liberal propoganda once in a while................
And I could send you endless links to various websites that refer to Newt as being very conservative. Do your research, somewhere besides politico, there are two sides to every issue. You just have to be open minded and smart enough to see past all of the biased b/s. And again, if you must waste your vote on Ron Paul go right ahead and feel free to do so, because after all this is still a free country or it is at least until Obama wins reelection......................so maybe you can kick your guilt can down the road a little bit longer and hope that we don't have to tell you that we told you so.
John, if that were true then Romney wouldn't be pissing his pants and spending millions of dollars attacking Gingrich and Santorum right now would he? That would really be a waste of money when according to you he already has the nomination sewn up. Not to mention that if Ron Paul were any kind of a threat he would be getting bombarded with ads against him right now too wouldn't he? Sorry but from a logical perspective your assumptions just don't hold any water....................
Other than the attacks on Paul about his news letters he really isn't being harrassed by Romney, the media or the washington establishment. He is nothing more than a nuisance to any of them right now. Why? Because everyone with any common sense knows that he has no chance in hell of getting the nomination and if he were to run as a third party candidate he would pretty much guarantee Obama's reelection. That is why they all want him to stay in the race as long as possible. Even Romney wants him to stay in, just to siphon off as many votes as he possibly can and help split the anti-Romney vote, to help him get the nomination (again according to you) that he is already suppose to have in the bag........................
Newt is the only one up there that has the gonads to fight the washington establishment, the media and Obama. Even Chuck Norris is endorsing him :-)

And I would love to see him on a ticket with either Cain, Rubio or Perry...............
Not only does he have more brains and balls than any of the others still running, he also has more class and sportsmanship. Don't think so, just listen to the beginning of this speech.

John, completely off the subject but do we know each other? I think we do, you look like a John K. I know.
John said:
This is a two man race between Romney and Paul. Santorum and Gingrich are not on the ballot for 500 delegates worth of states. They are not, and will not be on the ballot in other states besides just Virginia. They have no grassroots support and virtually "zero" ground game. They cannot win the nomination.
Period.
All this MSM Propaganda pushing either Santorum or Gingrich is a joke. Anyway you work the numbers, they are out.
Yeah John it's me. Spiritual beliefs? I have no idea what you are talking about. Look me up on facebook if you don't still have my number. I have tried looking you up. Friends are always friends but I consider you my brother.
George Soros, (a progressive), the International Monetary Fund, World Trade Organization. Federal Reserve... actually say they are working for the collapse of the dollar, and to place it with a one world currency.
1. Check out The IMF and WTO websites where they openly say they are for a “One World Governance”, but it does not benefit the poor of any country…contrary to what they say, it benefits the elite instead.
2. The United Nations is proposing a global tax which is globalization Central Bank Style… not free market style globalization.
3. The “IMF staff relies heavily on the expertise of other institutions. These include the World Bank (Federal Reserve ) regional development banks, the United Nations Development Program, the International Labor Office, , the World Health Organization, and other U.N. agencies In particular, the IMF looks to the World Bank (Federal Reserve) for policy analysis, reform options, and estimates of their budgetary cost, as well as data on social indicators.” The article continues to say, “the IMF staff largely relies on the World Bank (Federal Reserve) to take the lead in the design of social safety nets, which are then incorporated into IMF-supported programs.”
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
