Ok, so who is the Tea Party backing for the Republican nomination? For President? I'm sure you all have done more reseach than I have, so I'd be interested in reading your opinions.

One of the "better" parts of the patriot act is the included legislation that now prevents you from buying decongestants at your pharmacy without going through the pharmacist and present you drivers license so they can record and enter into a state if not national, data base. Also you can only breathe freely for ten days and then you have to drive back to the pharmacy for a ten day limit for the next ten days. Now that I've said that, don't you feel much more safe from terrorists?

Rand Paul explains why the Patriot Act trashes the Constitution. (Remember Gingrich in a recent campaign speech said he supports it)
We dishonor anyone who has served or given their life for this country by voting for anyone who trashes our Constitution (OBozo voters). If people don't like our constitution they should move to somewhere that has a constitution they like better. Maybe Greece? China? Cuba? I would guess by some of the comments on the left they would be happier in any of these countries.

Ron Paul receives more donations from active military than all the other candidates combined. http://www.opensecrets.org/pres12/contrib.php?id=N00005906
Our military men and women swear to uphold the Constitution, and tell me they are sick when they return home to see what we have allowed to happen to this Country. We dishonor them when we trash the Constitution.
Jenny Beth Martin said the other night that it's a 40 year project to get our country back on the right track. I don't know about the rest of you, I'm 66. I don't think I'm going to be here for the final rally. And by that time, my kids will be too old to enjoy the fruits.
I think the Tea Party needs a new schedule.
Just one little problem with your analysis. When stacked up against OBozo, Ron Paul is the one person who consistently beats him. None of the other three do. So if you pick a loser, any of the three establishment losers, who really loses? Once again, We The People. You are all drinking the puppet masters Kool-Aid. "Anybody but Romney.......but God, not Ron Paul!!!" the only one that proves he can beat who you say you don't want the most, OBozo.

Welcome to the Party Yvonne, I agree with you 100% but we appear to be the minority on here. Im affraid Romney is going to end up getting the nomination just as the establishment has planned all along.
Rush Limbaugh made a comment today about Ron Paul attacking everybody except Romney and Romney attacking everybody except Ron Paul. Seems that there maybe reason to believe that the two of them are working together to get Romney nominated and possibly choosing Rand Paul as his VP. Oh wouldn't that upset a few apple carts on here? Either way Ron Paul is not going to get the nomination and is doing nothing but helping Romney by staying in the race.
Yvonne Godshall said:I am a "NEWT" woman. I agree with Mr Wright. The Washington establishment doesn't like Newt, just as they didn't like Cain. I went to Tea Party Rallies and met Mr Cain and believe that he and Newt would be a great Team for the betterment of our nation. Romney in my opinion as Mr Wright addressed, is not a Tea Party supporter. I have spoken with someone who lives under Romney care in Mass and they HATE it! She pays over $500.00 a month for just herself. Yikes.
Ken, the problem with your comment is that I never said that I don't like Ron Paul, I would vote for him if he were to get the nomination. The problem is is that he doesn't have a chance of getting the nomination. His cult followers are passionate but there just isn't enough of them to make a difference. Especially when they do everything that they can do to alienate the very voters whos help they need to get him elected. At this point his remaining in the race does nothing but help Romney. Romney, same as McCain was last time is the last choice of the Tea Party because he is the most liberal of all the original candidates that started out in the race. Last time he just happened to be to the right of John McCain otherwise he would have gotten the nomination last time. The establishment always chooses the most liberal of all the availiable candidates. This time we started out with Romney the farthest left and Ron Paul the farthest right. What we are going to end up with is another four more years of Obama and if that happens then yes I think its over............
The same thing could be said about Newt. From the start it appeared that he was not interested in winning. He did not even bother to register in all the States...not even his own. some argue that he just didn't know. Well he does now. I said before that he appeared to be there only to take votes from someone else so as to trigger a brokered convention.
I know the latest propaganda is that Ron is secretively making deals with only Romney. However it is fact that during one of the debates Dr. Paul looked at Gingrich, and said well perhaps we can talk (make a deal). It is well known that he is well aware that the new GOP rules can easily trigger a brokered convention, and the establishment has never wanted Dr. Paul to win because of his position on the Federal Reserve. It would take the taxpayers credit card away from them...its not profitable for them to return to sound money, but it would help the average Joe (you and me)_.
The only way Dr. Paul will become President is if the people quit being puppets of the establishment Too many swallow everything the media tells them hook line and sinker. The media tells them Ron is secretively talking with Romney, but never stop to observe that he is openly talking with Newt and Santorum as well. However his persistence has awakened the public, and he continues to work to turn things around before it is too late. I just pray the people will wake up before it is too late.
I wish we had time to wait on them, Jack as you suggest. However I don't think we have that luxury given the state of the economy.
We can all agree that the economy is in bad shape, and the candidate most accurate about the economy (his predictions that were ridiculed for so long has come to roost), the Constitution, and the Founding Father's Principles is Ron Paul (his voting record proves that). That is what this Country needs right now, because if the U.S. economy tanks, we will no longer be able to defend ourselves.
The last thing we need is another candidate who will trash the Constitution out of ignorance, or out of a progressive agenda.
So, I am very grateful that Ron Paul is talking to Romney, Santorum and Gingrich in an attempt to negotiate a return to the Principles of the Founders instead of the direction the establishment wants the U.S. to go .
P.S. For the sake of our Country I hope Dr. Paul becomes the President, but in any case I am grateful that he puts the needs of this Country first, and is willing to negotiate with the other three candidates . You know he has a history of that (putting Country first)...never voting for a personal raise, and returning money each year to the U.S. treasury which he could rightfully keep.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS "I LIKE RON PAUL" but unfortunitly he has never been anywhere close to popular enough to get the nomination. Most of his passionate young followers only follow him because of his stance on legalizing drugs. He is to far to the right for most main stream republican voters. His weak stance on Iran and foreign policy very well may be misunderstood but reguardless it alienates many of the more conservative among us. Being the farthest right is not a bad thing, unless of coarse you are trying to run for national office. The average American voter is not going to jump from one end of the spectrum to the other over night. They are going to have to be pushed to the other end of the spectrum a little at a time and that is not going to happen if we keep letting the establishment choose the most liberal candidate availiable for us every time.
John as you have also said before, we are not friends anymore, if in fact we ever really were friends. So as such, I really would prefer that you not reply to anything else I post on here and I will do the same to you. I neither value, appreciate, need or care to communicate with someone who has absolutely no respect for me or my opinion. There is no need to take offence to this or get personal about it, just please ignore me in the future and I will return the favor and do the same to you.
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…

One could say much the same about Gingrich. From the start he showed little interest in actually winning. He didn't even bother to register in enough States to win the nomination...not even his own State. Some make the excuse that he didn't know, well he does now.
He seems to be there only to trigger a brokered convention so an establishment candidate gets the vote. ..a mole
But this, like your observations Jack, is all based on opinion...not facts. So like your opinions, Jack, not worth wasting time on.
However it is fact that Gingrich supports the Patriot Act, which trashes the Constitution. Is it that you not understand the Constitution, or do you have so little regard for it that you do not mind trashing it?
