Just Got an action aleat teaparty@teaparty.org 03/22 11:27 says:

TeaParty.org is pushing members and Citizens to go on "HIGH ALERT" in a crisis battle targeting indecisive House Democrats who are of two minds on whether they should vote YES or NO on Obama-Care.
Thought the bill has already passed. Anyone know what this is about?
  • John Wade

Nevermind I found my error. The message was send Sunday but did not hit my inbound mail till time stated in previous comment.

Hello, thanks for the friend request and more importantly what you're doing. I hope that you'll find me on Facebook as well. I'm promoting the Appleseed Project in NE Florida. We're having an event in St. Augustine April 17/18. www.appleseedinfo.org search "Florida Appleseed Project" on Facebook.

    I did that already.

The site is being shut down? HOW SAD. Please do not cowtow to bullies. We must all stand up together.
  • Ron Large

We will be attending the Tea Party gathering in Ventura, Ca on april 15th but we will be with you in spirit.
  • Ron Large

The administration may not be listening now but as the conservative tea party movement grows, they WILL listen or be replaced. Be peaceful, respectful, non-reactive but steadfast and determined to turn this country around.

    Hi Billie!!
I wanted to thank you for everything that you did to make the Tallahassee Rally success yesterday!! You are a fabulous speaker. Please keep in touch because I would like to promote your events and projects to the As A Mom members in your area. If you get a chance, please give me a call so that we can brainstorm some more. We have a major voter education project that I'm presenting to leadership across Florida. It's called the Abigail Adams Project.
    Sincerely,

    Billy,
I have an email from the owner of Front Site training organization that is trying to get people to send a "Don't Tread on Me" flag to the White House, and our US representatives and Senators on the 19th of Apr. How do I send the email to you to see if you want to forward it to the rest of First Coast Tea Party?
  • Rambo Granny

SCALDING TEA-Financial reform bill going for action tomorrow (Thurs)-merging house and senate versions. What about sending out an alert?
Timothy Geithner extending "lines of credit" to business he considers too big to fail...feds having access to our credit card transactions.
Add this bill to healthcare and feds control 60% GDP---fundamental transformation. Phone lines need to MELT to congress.

I was surprised to see your endorsement of Rick Scott over MCCollum in the FTU today. Corruption is the problem in our government. Backing Scott whose company committed the largest Medicare billing fraud in the country is NOT what I see as whom the Tea Party should be backing. He was only sorry AFTER he got caught. You are entitled to back whomever you want. Just don't say that the Tea Party does also. I doubt many do. And we shouldn't!

    Billie:

Amazing...simply amazing. You are only saddling up next to Rick Scott because of what Rick Scott can do for you. Rick Scott is a thief, liar, fraudster, scum sucker of the earth. How dare you say he is "one of us"? And from the looks of your posts, you most certainly are using the Tea Party group to continue to endorse him. Please stop using the words "we" "our" 'us" when YOU are personally endorsing Rick Scott. Sounds like he is rubbing off on you already. Let me quote directly from TU article that appeared in today's Metro section these are your words "Rick is fresh and new. He brings to the table a business acumen that McCollum doesn't," said Billie Tucker, an organizer with the First Coast Tea Party.

"Part of the tea party movement is personal responsibility," Tucker said. "If he comes out and says, 'Hey, we screwed up. We fixed it,' does that mean we never let him do anything again?"

And how dare you use Rick Scott's own web page to "Check out the truth"

Here is a true link to check out Rick...
information is available on the Wikipedia website. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_L._Scott

Also the mission statement of the FCTP specifically prohibits the endorsement of candidate, and I quote "We are NOT affiliated with any political parties or interest groups and do not - as a group - support any political candidate."

So what did he offer you?

My concern, Billie, is the wording of the FTU article which places the tea party squarely in an article about a candidate for office who was involved in corrupt and fraudulent activities. Scott may be remorseful about the HCA situation but that was only after he was caught and ousted. HCA paid the fine and he went on to make millions elsewhere. After all, he was able to afford an $11 million ad campaign. It all reeks of the same "icky" stuff that is all over Capitol hill these days. I don't care how much he may have cleaned up his image or how much business acumen he may have, fraud is fraud. I would expect the tea party and one of it's organizers to be far removed from any candidate who has already been involved in fraud. No discussion after the fact would change my vote. He will just sound like all the rest of the sleazy politicians I am sick of.

In response to your query: I live in East Islip, a small town on the south shore of Long Island. I'm usually pretty busy, but would still be interested in joining any tea party group within 'striking' distance, just not sure how to find them. Am seriously contemplating joining the gathering in DC on 9/ll--logistics and expense being the serious part of 'seriously contemplating'.
  • Valerie Sawyer

    Thanks for all you do!
  • Joseph Theodore Troupe

Billie, I tried to send you a very nice article by Dick Morris on the Tea Party, but the system is not designed for copying and pasting articles or for forwarding them to you for your review. You probably subscribe to Dick Morris, any, so it probably isn't any loss................. joe

< Billie, I remember your writing the ICW West group hasn't found a meeting place, yet. I was riding by Angies on the corner of Beach Blvd and S15th St (across from the beaches cemetary) and their sign board was showing a message that the Beaches Tea Party meet there this Wednesday night.

Perhaps you might talk with the owner of Angie's to secure a meeting place. Just a suggestion................. joe troupe
  • Tina Meskel

So proud of all of you. thank you for speaking - so eloquently - for and representling all of us!
  • Robert Blades

We are in St Austine and First Coast is a so much bigger group perhaps you should reach out and see if they would be interested in bonding. I think it would be a good move on their part and provide a lot more energy overall.
    Just a thought

Billie- I wrote an earlier comment but I am so new at this it didn't go - thank you and Carol for hosting an inspirational mtg. Tuesday night at the S. Beach Community Center. Hank Madden gave us some useful info, the other Tea Partiers hellped us to select the right choices for Nov. 2 ballot and last but equally important and very patriotic and was the powerful powerpoint presentation by Bob Tipton. Thank you all and God Bless America
  • Wellford C. Reed, Jr

Wow! Billie and all the others you brought to the cause worked wonders. As a transplant from Richmond, VA where I thought we had a super active Tea Party group, you left them in the dust. I'll make time to help you keep the pressure on those we have helped put in a position of government responsibility.
  • Lynsey

Thank you for being our voice!!!!
I think one thing to consider in cutting back on foodstamps is that kids eat free for breakfast and lunch at school. That needs to be factored in when calculating benefits. Why would the tax payees pay for these kids to eat twice for the same meal? I think that alone would help to cut it way back. I also think that junk food shouldn't be allowed. We work to feed our kids and can't afford junk food from quick stop, why should we be required to buy it for people who are unwilling to work? Stay strong! You are speaking the words that we would speak if given the chance! Thanks for what you do!
  • Jim Kuhn

knew  right off,  that the politicans would use this as a tool , to divert  attention  away from what they were doing  to the american public.

Here is a quick idea for your people in DC. In the budget fight why not  include all the left over monies from the TARP PROGRAM and the STIMULUS PROGRAM. Lets dry up that well now so they can't spent it.  Thanks.

I want to treat you with 16 free NRA Pistol Courses (2 groups of 8).

Thank you for the welcome. I am a political junkie (Conservative - BIG TIME). Right now I am up to my eyeballs in teaching. There's not much I can do right now until I retire in June. However, I'm really looking forward to this new challenge.

    What are these "gifts" ?

  • Noreen Garron

Hello Billie; Noreen met you at the Laura Ingraham event this past Thursday. Our email address is norandal@hotmail.com. We would love to come Friday with a banner for you.

Hi Billie  We would prefer the Sunday showing but can attend either one.  We would like two tickets.

After watching Mr. Brown profess this to be a 'Jacksonville' election and its about Jacksonville, I received a recorded call this morning from Bill Clinton urging me to vote for him. Didn't know Bill Clinton know where Jacksonville was.
  • Michael Thomas

It is a sad day for Jacksonville.

If the republicans would have voted and not been the "silent majority" Hogan would have won.

This needs to be a BIG WAKE-UP CALL for 2012.

  • Tom Platt

Billie: If you are interested in a speaker who exceeds all standards of being a genuine American hero in every sense, I recommend my friend Bill Byrnes.  Bill is the recipient of over 100 military decorations, including a Purple Heart, three Distinguished Flying Crosses, etc.  He was shot down over North Vietnam, captured, force-marched in his underwear for 30 days to a North Vietnam prison where he was tortured, beaten and starved for nearly a year.  And yes, he saw "Hanoi" Jane come through.  He has an awesome testimony as a Christian in which he explains how God answered their prayers in an unquestionable manner.

If you are interested, let me know and I will put you in touch with him.  I had him speak to my college government class, and one of the students said, "It's not often you get to meet a real American hero!"  I think that said it all.

Ma'am I cannot be at the school board event if given the chance will you broach the subject below

I have been on a writing campaign since before school was let out trying to prevent the school board from shutting down the JROTC program at Mandarin High.  Its very involved but centers around CNET 1533.9k, a Federal law enacted by Congress that governs all JROTC programs, all branches of the military across the county. This law prevents Military Instructors from teaching outside of military science.
Dr Richardson, the Principal of Mandarin High, and the school board say there is no money for the program but you have to remember the Navy pays a great deal of money for this program and everything the cadets need.
To the parents of the children in the program it is a vindictive move because Commander Hibbard who runs the program for all of South Georgia and North Florida will not allow his instructors to teach non military courses but Dr. Richardson did exactly that last year so the Commander put the school on probation for breaking that regulation.
The school board in return shut the program down.
Shutting down the program in a military town is unconscionable and beyond comprehension. Many cadets will be hurt by this move. The Seniors and Juniors will hurt the most that already have years invested in the program and need it for scholarships and placement in the military and officer programs.
Please help bring the problem to top of the pile
Thank you very much for your time

  • LOTTO NICK !

Can someone tell me why we can't change the WAY the lottery commission and the state legIslators to DISTRIBUTE  the lottery money ALL BACK TO THE ELEMENTARY AND HIGH  SCHOOL systems?

For example ,the lottery supports BRIGHT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AWARDS  B students or higher.

This program was lobbied for by the universties to attract the lottery money to them , AND FAVORS A SELECT GROUP OF FAMILIES WHO  MAY BE FORTUNATE  to have a child with a higher IQ OR MORE ABILITY ,OR  CAN PAY FOR A TUTOR,OR GO TO A PRVATE SCHOOL,OR may HAVE A SOLID FAMILY WITH A MOM AND DAD [ NOT DIVORCED] ,OR JUST HAVE THE BASICS LIKE FOOD AND HOUSING AND IN MOST CASES LIVE AND CAN AFFORD MORE THAN IS LESS FORTUNATE STUDENT WHO JUST had NO OPPORTUNITY,because they are AVERAGE.

WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE OLD WAY EDUCATING A CHILD. The basic education grades 1 to 12 was provided BY THE TAX PAYER SO EVERYONE HAD A EQUAL CHANCE TO GET A EDUCATION WITH PHYSICAL EDUCATION , then AFTER 12TH GRADE  a student of 16 would be OF AGE TO GET A JOB,TO WORK FOR COLLEGE AND FILE FOR FINANCIAL AID IF NEEDED.THE VOTE FOR LOTTO MONEY WAS ORIGINALLY TO SUPPORT BASIC EDUCATION .LETS STOP THE LOBBIST,AND GO BACK TO WHAT WORKS.

We however allowed lobbist to direct the money to a Bright Schlars program that  now we are hiring coaches for 4.5 million ay a university, OR TO SELECT B OR HIGHER STUDENTS instead of giving all the money to the ELEMENTARY AND HIGH SCHOOL SYSTEM ,AS THE VOTERS INTENDED.We need to keep PHYSICAL EDUCATION SIMPLE AND WHAT CAN BE AFFORDED AND MOST EFFECTIVE.

Lets get back to the basics.Give the all KIDS  a chance to be KIDS AND SIMPLY EXERCISE and LEARN.Lets put our LOTTO money ALL back into the lower education and if you want to go to college then you work and find a way to pay for it [ thru family or financial aid].THAT MY FRIENDS BUILDS CHARACTER in a child ,FAIR PLAY for all ,LESS GREED to a select group AND IS ETHICAL for all.

  • LOTTO NICK !

    What is physical education?

running ,swimming , excercise  .A chance for KIDS TO BE KIDS AND EXERCISE .THATS IT .

NOT A COMPETITIVE ,ELEABOATE SPORTS PROGRAM FOR PARENTS TO SIT ON SIDE LINES AND FIGHT.

LETS PUT COMPETITION BACK IN THE CLASS ROOMS ..BACK TO THE BASICS....LETS COMPETE THRU ETHIC CLASSES TO LEARN HOW TO ACT AND CIVIC CLASSES TO LEARN ABOUT OUR GOVERNMENT .

LETS THEN LET THE KIDS PLAY ON PLAYGROUNDS AND A PLAY A SIMPLE BALL GAME DURING RECESS FOR EXERCISE TO GET THE BRAIN FLOWING WITH BLOOD FOR MORE LEARNING,  NOT FOR  THE AFTER SCHOOL TO TRAVEL TO OTHER SCHOOLS,and fight over who has the best player.

WE LOST OUR PURPOSE FOR EDUCATION !!!

  • CJ

Thank Ma'am very much! You are a peach.

I did as you recommended for ROTC and it was much easier than I expected so Im grateful on both accounts.

    Have a great day

I emailed him requesting he push for Cut Cap and Balance to come off the table and vote yes to help the senate pass it. A long shot I know. Then it is all up to Obama. I watched Rubio speak on the senate floor on CCB so convincing and completely correct! Watch it on UTUBE It makes me proud he represents FL!
