my favorite highlights...
(1) immediately prior to the Revolution, in 1793 the guys working at the Treasury (operating the presses printing the money) went on strike for better pay and benefits (and won)
[2] the French Gov’t confiscated all personal gold holdings under penalty of death (like Roosevelt did here but he exempted jewelry and only 10yrs in prison instead of death)
[3] the French Gubmint used the term “Win The Future” rather imaginitively
