I contacted both our Senators. Please contact them as well. Call Sen. Bill Nelson at (202) 224-5274 and Sen. George LeMieux at (202) 224-3041 now and urge them to vote for the Murkowski resolution of disapproval to stop Obama’s EPA. Please be aware that I was told that Bill Nelson will vote against it. His intern would not explain why, but basically agreed when I asked whether he had his head buried in the sand regarding views opposing his. George LeMieux hasn’t made a commitment.

The background is that the EPA has ruled that the American public is "endangered" by greenhouse gases-using the discredited global warming science as its reasoning-and therefore subject to regulation under the Clean Air Act. This means that, once the rules take effect a year or two from now, the EPA would have a stranglehold on the American economy. The Murkowski resolution of disapproval if passed can reverse this ruling.

Remember, the senior Republican on the Senate Energy Committee is sponsoring the Resolution of Disapproval and plans to put it to a vote this Thursday, June 10. It is a privileged resolution. This means it must be voted on and only needs 51 votes to pass, not the 60 votes often needed in the Senate. This will be a close vote and your call can make a difference.
