Like everyone else in the audience, I listened intently to the three mayoral candidates in attendance at the FCTP event and I came away knowing who I would support and why. I am supporting Mike Hogan. For many years we citizens have failed in our duties and responsibilities to consistently select principled representatives that could be trusted to act in our best interest and to protect, rather than capriciously spend, our tax dollars. I trust Mike Hogan.
While Rick Mullaney is an intelligent and effective speaker, I was puzzled that a man so filled with facts could not recall the three top financial contributors to his campaign. I was troubled further when he went on the attack at the end of the evening displaying the ugly political tactics that we have come to expect from candidates and that I find to be loathesome.
To his credit, Hogan's response was dignified and principled and it gave me a glimpse of what Jacksonville will be getting if he is elected. I will do everything that I can to support Mike Hogan because I believe in his character and "character counts".

Hello Did you realize that Mike Hogan did not exactly tell the truth on the same question - top three contributors - Mike Hogan failed to be accurate (lied) in naming his three biggest contributors.
They are the 3 biggest unions in Jacksonville. The Firefighters Union, the Police Union, and the AFL-CIO. And the Teachers Union is endorsing him supposedy this week. Wow, What do all of those Unions expect from Mr. Hogan when it comes to pay back time. They do not give out their money and endorsements for nothing. It appears to me that maybe Jacksonville's Union Pension and Benefits will continue to grow at an exponential rate just like that in Wisconsin and New Jersey thus bankrupting our city's financil future and certainly that of our children and grandchildren,
At least Rick Mullaney has a 34 point program that is an honest assessment of what is needed in Jacksonville, especially as it relates to JOBS. No, Mr Mullaney has not been on the local government payroll for a long time, but maybe that's real positive when you think about it.
For fiscally conservative Republicans, Mullaney is the man who has no strings attached, Our future financial security is at stake in this election. Thanks, Tom Wing
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
