District 1 State Senate Seat: Terry L. Fields, Democratic Candidate

Terry L. Fields is apparently running for state senator to replace Senator "Tony" Hill in district 1.  A couple of notable things on his web site (http://www.terrylfields.com/) are that he has an Obama video on his home page, and the following 2 comments from him are found on pages of his web site:

I believe that we must work with President Obama to put people in Florida back to work, invest in our infrastructure and turn things around. I want to work in the state senate to help provide better paying and higher quality jobs for all of the citizens of Senate District 1 and throughout the state of Florida.

Senate District 1 is very large and diverse. Please know that we are taking all of the steps necessary to be successful. I am confident that with our grassroots efforts we can reach every voter in Senate District 1.

Terry Fields believes we must do all we can to stem the tide of climate change.

State Senate district 1 is a gerrymandered district:

District 1

Consists of parts of Duval, Flagler, Putnam, St. Johns, and Volusia counties

This district really should be made compact and the gerrymandered district significantly changed to eliminate favoritism for any candidate.

Thanks for the history of gerrymandering.  It seems an odd word, but with your explanation, the word now makes perfect sense :)

That is why we need to get behind the two Constitutional ammendments that the citizens of Floirda passed last fall with 62% of the vote. They state that districts need to be drawn in such a way as to follow natural boundries as well as city and county lines. Any attempt to protect incumbents by gerrymandering must be fought all the way. It is called "gerrymandering" because a politician in Massachusetts named Gerry built a district that looked like a salamander, hence gerrymandering.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
