While most of the national “Support Trayvon” rallies are drawing to a close, the so- called “Dream Defenders” have been squatting in the state capitol for three weeks. They’re hoping to bully Governor Rick Scott into calling a special session to address Florida’s ”Stand Your Ground” laws. Scott met with the mostly student group and informed them that he was not going to call a special session about the law. After being removed from the governor’s private office the protesters remain in the outer office and rotunda of the state capitol.
It is in typical fashion that young liberals are willing to use taxpayer’s money to fund their endeavors. This particular summer camp has cost Florida taxpayers over $300,000! Some lawmakers are trying to invoke a seldom used law to force the Secretary of State to call a special session. Ultimately, 60% of lawmakers would have to call for the session. At this point that seems unlikely.

They should not be allowed to stay in the building on weekends or nights when the buildings are closed. Because they do, it requires extra personel (guards) etc. I don't care what they want at this point. I think expecting to squat in a state buildling should not be allowed.
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
