What are you going to be doing on Tuesday, Nov 6, 2012? You may not have it marked on your calendar yet but I’ll bet mentally you are saying “That is the day we vote conservative Americans into elected office and vote President Obama out!”. I’ll bet you are firmly committed to that action. Are you going to do anything between now and Nov. 6, 2012, to help conservatives get elected?
If you are from Jacksonville, you just got “shellacked” in the mayoral election by the national progressive liberal organizations who came to your town from other states to take it from you. To them, organizing Jacksonville was just practice for the “real thing” – re-electing Barack Obama. They are already hard at work making sure progressive liberal candidates are elected in 2012. They are better funded than you. They are better organized than you. I’m not trying to disrespect you but, frankly, they are more committed than you.
Do you work? So do they. Except they are paid to destroy America. Do you have important events such as family or grandkids or vacations or…? So do they. Their important events are organizing millions of voters to destroy your job, your family and your vacations. So are you going to tell me you are committed? Not as committed as they are. What are you willing to give up to save your country? Some time? Some money?
So I ask again, what are you going to do between now and Tuesday, Nov 6, 2012? Have you thought about it? I’d like to challenge you to help your country by committing yourself to action. Now.
Take out a calendar.
Budget and schedule your campaign contributions. Guess what, I don’t have the money either. So I am going to schedule smaller individual payments over time. I’m going to be selective and contribute to candidates directly. Not to the republican party, not to the NRA or the national progressive leftist association of retired federal employees, or to the Florida Assoc. of Prof. Engineers PAC… Personally, I’m going to contribute to Herman Cain. Once the Republican candidate is selected, I’ll support that person. Hopefully it will be Herman. I’m going to support Mike Yost who has already started his campaign against Corrine Brown. I’m going to support whoever runs against Bill Nelson. Unfortunately, in today’s world, we also need to look across the country at conservative candidates in other states who need our financial help and send them some money. Put dates, candidates and amounts on your schedule just like you do your mortgage payment. It’s that important. Make your donating a regular event – you know, like a drumbeat.
Schedule time for recruiting those who will recruit others to recruit others who will… - you get the point. People who will work tirelessly for conservative candidates. Do you have the courage to challenge family, friends and neighbors to commit themselves to volunteer? To write down their own schedule for action? You cannot get these candidates elected by yourself. The 6,000 Tea Party volunteers listed on the Tea party web site are not enough. Now is the time to recruit others who will commit time on their schedules to help conservatives. Less than 38% of Jacksonville voters voted in the March 17, 2011 Mayors race. We need to do far, far better in 2012. If you feel that just because it is a Presidential election year that conservative minded voters will automatically go vote, you are wrong! The only ones guaranteed to vote are the progressive liberals. So, between now and early 2012, you need to recruit volunteers and help establish an organization. Can you commit an hour per day? 15 minutes? Write down your commitment in your calendar and do it. Make your volunteering a regular event – you know, like a drumbeat. Hear it getting a little stronger?
Next comes committing the time to gather up the conservative voters. How much time are you willing to commit through 2012 to talk to everyone about making sure to vote. Volunteering for a phone bank, knocking on doors to talk to as many people as you can. Again, even 15 or 20 minutes of your time each day makes a lot of difference. Hopefully, as the election nears, you can commit much more time. Please write it in your schedule now so that when football season and Halloween parties begin to intrude, you can put your country and your way of life first.
The time is now to budget your spending, commit the time to volunteer and encourage others to do the same. Let’s get the drumbeat started. Let’s start off slow and steady and push it to a crescendo on November 6, 2012. See you at the phone banks, door knocking and neighborhood rallies.
