Check out Florida Times Union, Jacksonville paper dated 1/31/13, Editorial Page, Steve Benson, Creators Syndicate’s cartoon stating “Fox News today fired Saral Palin”

Why is this significant? They portray the Tea Party as redneck, beer drinking, uneducated. Fire your letters to the Editor; I was appalled!!!!!

I was asking about the article Betty is referring to.  We no longer get the Times Union (I have been tempted again but hate to buy a paper so I can read articles that insult me.............which is what I told them when I cancelled the subscription).  So much of what is going on, as you said, is in the paper even with editorials like the one mentioned here etc.

Pat  Are you referring on the article I mentioned here?  That article had to do with the tea party presence at the Duval Delegation meeting at City Hall.  I have not researched that online but can check that out.  It was on the front page of the January 5th publication of the FTU.  The article was written by (I believe) Timothy Gibbons.

I agree with Carole!   Do you have a link to this article.  I looked, but right now, they are blocking people who don't have paid subscriptions from reading some of the articles.  Many of the on line editions of newspapers are now doing this now...........and you can't make comments either :).

Betty

I, too, understand your upset with the FTU.  I have kept my subscription as I like to know what the tidbits are within the pages along with lead article/editorials.  When the tea party was fairly presented in a Saturday (January) front page article, it was heartening to see that journalism surface in our local paperFTU.  Please continue to be on the look out for the tea party and offer up your ideas and suggestions in this forum.  We the people need to pull together as Pat has mentioned, too.

Betty, I understand exactly what you are talking about, and I also am upset by the Times Union as a rule.  Although, of late, they have tried to moderate their far left leaning somewhat and did actually endorse Romney for president, some of the lefty folks still insist of smearing the tea party in an effort to diminish their ability to sway people and to drive people away from the tea party (so they won't join).  You have every right to be appalled...........and sadly as many of us are also upset that our city is intent on dividing people in the same manner this Obumbler is!  These bad economic times for our city should be marked by pulling together instead of having our only newspaper trying to make divisions between the citizens!

FIrst of all, Fox did not fire Sarah.  It was her choice to renew or not renew her contract.  The FTU is not worth my time.  Sorry.  I have tried with them and it is hopeless.  Just boycott.  Hit them in the pocketbook.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
