As I’ve noted in the past, two American Laws for American Courts bills are now making their way through the Florida Legislature: State Senator Alan Hays’s bill, SB 58, and Representative Larry Metz’s bill, HB 351.
Both are common-sense legislative proposals that protect Floridians’ individual constitutional rights from foreign laws or legal doctrines where the application of those laws/doctrines would violate those constitutional rights. No particular foreign law is singled out.
We are making good progress on this legislation in large part because of your support. Recently, the House Judiciary Committee voted to favorably report HB 351—with only two dissenting votes!
Today, we are focusing on the Senate bill, SB 58. In particular, we need you to show your support for SB 58 to members of the Senate Committee on Governmental Oversight and Accountability.
As a constituent and voter, your voice is tremendously powerful and you can make a difference in whether or not American Laws for American Courts legislation is passed in Florida and signed into law this year.
Can we count on you to take a few moments today to let your voice be heard? When combined with thousands of other Florida voices, it packs quite a punch, so please pass this Alert on to everyone you know!
** IMPORTANT ACTION ITEM **
Today, please contact the members of the Senate Committee on Governmental Oversight and Accountability (see list below) via phone call or e-mail and relay the following sentiments in your own words.
Dear Senator,
I urge you to support SB 58 introduced by Senator Alan Hays, in order to protect the constitutional rights of Floridians from the incursion of foreign laws and foreign legal doctrines. Further, I ask that you do all you can to see the Committee favorably address this issue as soon as possible, so that it can continue to move through the legislative process.
We must maintain the authority of the Florida and U.S. Constitutions.
As a Florida voter, this bill is of the utmost importance to me!
Thank you for your leadership on this vital matter.
Sincerely,
(Your name and city)

As always, thank you for all of your efforts. You ARE making a difference!
If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.
You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
