Guess the market wasn't so worried about the debt ceiling, but it was concerned about the economy............too bad our executive branch of government didn't get it right...........yet again!

FOX Business: The Power to Prosper

After alternating between gains and losses, Wall Street turned decidedly bearish Friday as the Dow tumbled as much as 200 points despite new data revealing stronger-than-expected job growth in July.

As of 12:19 p.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average slumped 55.63 points, or 0.49%, to 11322.53, the Standard & Poor’s 500 dropped 10.96 points, or 0.91%, to 1188.57 and the Nasdaq Composite declined 43.92 points, or 1.72%, to 2512.51. The FOX50 slid 5.41 points, or 0.63%, to 858.14.

The latest round of selling tacks onto Wall Street's deep slump, which has slashed more than 1,100 points off the Dow. The market selloff was highlighted by Thursday's plunge, which saw the Dow plummet 513 points, or 4.31% -- its steepest selloff since February 2009 during the depths of the financial crisis.

Trading has been extremely sloppy, with the blue chips soaring 150 points at the open before plunging as much as 200 points into the red and then recovering a bit. The very wide 350-point trading range underscores the uncertainty gripping the financial markets.
