Fox News: Georgia lumberyard owner hammers Obama on 'You didn't build that'

People are beginning to step up to the plate and say the words instead of just grumbling about the dictator in the white house! I was disappointed more businesses didn't step up for Chick fil-A. This man has an awesome sign!

President Obama's message to entrepreneurs that "you didn't build that" prompted one Georgia business owner to respond with a not-so-subtle retort.

"I built this business without gov't help. Obama can Kiss my ass," reads the sign outside Gaster Lumber & Hardware in Savannah, Ga. Owner Ray Gaster posted that and two similar ones at all three of his company's locations in response to Obama's comments during a speech to supporters in Virignia, which struck a nerve with small business owners around the nation.

"When I heard what he said, I said 'I'm going to give him an answer in Chicago language--something he's used to.'" - Ray Gaster

“If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help," the president said at a campaign stop last month in Roanoke, Va.. "There was a great teacher somewhere in your life," he continued. "Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

Comment by Helen on August 14, 2012 at 6:31pm: Lizzie, it would be wonderful if you stop and see this man, tell him you saw him on FCTP! I hope there are voters who will vote and remove Obama, and I have confidence. I agree, the news people get is wrong often with polls.

Also, is it possible a low poll will encourage voters to work harder to get the word out? HW has a good point, the silent ones are out there. There have been many elections which took our media pundits by "surprise"... have faith!

I am going to Savannah next week for business... wonder if I can find this man and his business and stop in to say hello and buy something..

McBride on August 9, 2012 at 8:16pm: I am quite fearful as the last couple of days, even Fox seems focused on polls showing Obama ahead while Rasmussen shows Romney 47% and Obama 43% overall. I am fearful that enough stupid people will vote him back in to get $10.00 worth of free birth control pills instead of focusing on the damage he has done and would continue to do! What is wrong with these people?
