If you can't say anything else about Obama it is certainly that his theme song is TAX, TAX, TAX, TAX.  Here we go again out there trying to make sure moving to another state won't be helping anyone's tax situation.  Now he wants level taxes coming from all the states too!  As well as leveling the affluence of everyone, so he can continue to SPEND, SPEND, SPEND AND SPEND SOME MORE!

Earlier this week, White House economic adviser Gene Sperling announced his support for changes in the tax structure. “[W]e need a global minimum tax so that people have the assurance that nobody is escaping doing their fair share as part of a race to the bottom or having our tax code actually subsidized and facilitate people moving their funds to tax havens,” Sperling said at an official White House meeting. He even indicated that President Obama “supports” this change.

Technically, it would not be a “Global Tax” but a punitive tax , an unnamed White House “official” told Politico, on American companies “that ship jobs overseas.”

The reason these companies ship jobs overseas is that they can’t compete globally because costs are too high in the United States. The way to remedy the problem is to lower taxes here. Instead, the Obama Administration has resorted to class warfare rhetoric. No wonder. He’s seen the polls. If 72% of New Yorkers want rich people to pay more in taxes, it’s quite obvious that slapping a minimum tax on oversea corporations is an easy sell.

These same people will bellyache that everything they buy will be more expensive and blame the corporations. The corporations aren’t the problem; it’s the taxing structure, and I might add, the unions. The unions killed the American textile industry in the United States. It’s nearly killed the automobile industry.

Maybe the President should push a “basic minimum” tax on the 47 percent of Americans who don’t pay a dime in Federal income taxes but who vote for more taxes on their more productive and job-creating neighbors.

Oh John..............wow do I feel for you.  "GO GATORES" or however she pronounced it in front of the whole house :).   I agree people should be able to elect who they want, but then, they complain cause things are not rosy in DC and never ever does anyone think it's their guy.  So what's the solution?

Roma, I am not the uninformed person here.  We don't have a constitutional republic any longer in case you haven't noticed.  Obama has overthrown the government for all intents and purposes, so reading up on the constitution is wonderful, but we must focus on things like getting rid of they tyrant and some of his friends in the senate and house just now.  Please don't attack me and tell me how stupid I am again.  You need to look around you.  Right now about 1/2 of the country will vote for this man again for the free stuff and welfare etc.   We are in a mess, so I don't think just now I will be sitting around in a corner somewhere reading what it should be like when we need to address what IT IS like and attempt to begin the process of pulling it back where it should be (and that will not happen over night).

The problem with your argument about people being the wisest term limits is because we are one hell of a mess because they haven't gotten rid of anyone forever.  And when it gets bad, everyone always thinks it isn't their guy.  It is their guy and our guy and everyone's guy.  I can see you would rather not have or would find a reason not to have term limits to protect 2 of them when the rest are rotting like yesterday's chicken carcus (I like both of them as legislators, and I suspect the younger Paul will be president one day, but it is fairly obvious the people aren't going to get rid of the bad ones...............most of them are not well enough informed to even know what is going on much less that they should vote out their senator and congressman).

If no one is there for more than 10 to 12 years, it doesn't give them the chance to get involved in anything but what they are supposed to do, and it can't be with exceptions for anyone really.  If you get something for term limits, it must be all inclusive which means if you get someone that is very bad, like Bill Nelson, and you can't get rid of him, he will be term limited out.  We also need to be sure it is a total of 10 years or 12 years so they don't think they can move from the house to the senate and do more time.  I know there are good people in office and more than just Ron Paul, but rules are meant for everyone which is part of the problem with Obama...........he wants to pick and choose and use things for pay offs.  We have to be better than he is.

Exactly my thoughts Roma. It will take years of seriously hard work to straighten things back out and that includes getting rid of almost everyone in the congress (and certainly anyone who has been there more than 3 terms to senate and 6 terms for congress........and then, making sure there is a healthy turn over from there on). We need to get rid of their health care and their retirement as they should NOT be there long enough to require such perks; although, certainly they should have health care if they don't personally have it from their job or their business, but they should pay for it just like everyone else has to pay for things. We shouldn't be passing laws like the one just passed about them using insider information, because all that says is they were exempt from the laws we have to follow and therefore have to have laws specific to them..........nothing made me madder than watching them pass something like that (how dare they think they are above the laws the rest of us go to jail for breaking. And on and on!

he thinks he is the man, and from this article apparently he is quite close to what we fought a war to get free of:  http://cnsnews.com/news/article/meese-obama-administration-close-mo...

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
