The city's pension task held a meeting to take suggestions from the public Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2013 at City Hall.
An appellate court in Tallahassee has upheld a local ruling finding that the city of Jacksonville violated the state’s Government in the Sunshine law during pension negotiations in 2013.
In a three judge ruling, the 1st District Court of Appeal unanimously rejected arguments that Circuit Judge Waddell Wallace erred when he ruled in favor of the Sunshine lawsuit filed by Times-Union Editor Frank Denton. Wallace found the city violated the Sunshine law by conducting talks in federal court mediation sessions that weren’t open to the public. The City Council later rejected the pension reform deal that emerged from that mediation.
The appellate ruling, written by Judge Clayton L. Roberts, called Wallace’s ruling “well reasoned and sound.”

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets. It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
