Subject: Governor: Thank you for shutting down the High Speed Rail scam and returning the federal funds!!!!!

I have experience with rail transportation and concepts for high speed rail.  I am a train aficionado!  Florida does not have the point to point population centers needed to give rail/high speed rail a chance to succeed.  The American car culture will thwart high speed rail in Florida.  This is a wasteful government project that will fail and cost Florida citizens billions of dollars.   It is designed to bolster union labor at the expense of the citizen.

The federal funding for these types of useless projects is designed to lure states into committing revenue they don’t have to build unsustainable infrastructure.  Any intelligent citizen knows to reject this funding.  It is a trap!

Thank you Governor Scott for returning this funding and shutting down this High Speed Rail scam.  Please continue to reduce spending and build jobs in our state.  Stand strong!  Continue to cut projects like this and restore Florida to financial strength.  Our Florida State Senator Wise and Florida House Representative Davis will support you!

To our Congressmen:   Our country is bankrupt!  It is insolvent!  To finance our crushing national debt we have to rely on China.  So much so it is a national security crisis.  Is this how you handle your personal finances?  This high speed rail project is particularly insulting.  Stop it!  Get to work on reducing spending.

To Congressman Mica:  I attended the Florida Statewide Passenger Rail Commission meeting, January 18, 2011, in Jacksonville, FL. and heard you speak to the Commission.  I came away with the impression that you felt this project was folly and prone to failure.  You even correctly compared it to the horrendous monument to failed infrastructure, the Jacksonville Skyway.  I even E-mailed you a compliment.  Today I hear you object to Governor Scott shutting down this sham and returning the money.  I am saddened by your support of Washington waste!  You can’t get private partners/funding for this project because private enterprise is not normally stupid enough to invest in failure.  I should have seen this coming from your presentation when you listed as potential private industry partners firms whose primary purpose would be as project parasites.  You need to stand up for what is right!  You and your committee need to tell the truth and cut the spending on these projects.

Special message for Senator Nelson:  You are a disgrace to the United States of America.  You have done nothing but support this federal administration’s economically destructive policies without the slightest thought to the consequences to our economy and to our country.  I have called every office you have – repeatedly – over the last two years to find out when you might have a meeting with your constituents.  The answer has been the same every time – no meetings.  You don’t have the guts to listen to your constituents.  Now you say you are going to bring high speed rail to Florida without state support???  How?  Call Congressman Mica and ask for his list of private industry partners.  I can assure you, the Citizens of Florida will stop this nonsense.  I know you don’t care what we think but we will stop you.  This once great nation is broke, Senator.  BROKE.  The great state of Florida is broke.  And you helped put us there.  Try this: get to work to cut federal spending and put American citizens back to work.
