If you want to have some fun call Congressman Corinne Brown's D.C. office (202) 225-0123 and ask  why drug testing welfare recipients amounts to "an extreme and illegal invasion of personal privacy," but the actions of TSA are not.

Sabrina, you did well. Just doing it is the important thing. The more you do it, the better you get at doing it. I sent a email out to her and copied it to my representatives, Speaker Boehner, DeMint and several others. I received a reply back from my Congressman Ander Crenshaw, who has not replied to many of my emails of late. Unfortunately he addressed the TSA part as my letter was headed by:

Question to Congresswoman Corrine Brown: Why does drug testing  welfare recipients amount to an extreme and illegal invasion of personal  privacy but the actions of TSA are not?

Interesting Crenshaw answered me only about the TSA in a long 12 paragraph answer what is being done about the TSA from his Homeland Security Committee, reports all the way back to 2001.

He did not address my question to Corrine Brown or the fact that many Congressional members are not reading the legislation or bills that they vote on, the big drug problems we have in our country, the growing dependency on Government dependency that has increased 61% from just four years ago to more than 44.5 million in 21 million households are now receiving food stamps.

I also noted the statistics at the beginning of the food stamp program: Here is just another example of a government program that has grown out of control.  When established in 1964, the Food Stamp Act appropriated $75 million to 350,000 individuals in 40 counties and three cities.  At the time, the Agriculture Department estimated that participation in the program would eventually reach 4 million, at a cost of $360 million annually.  By 2010, it reached over 40 million Americans costing $68 billion in one year.
The very same people, Congress and the Federal government are now in charge of our health care, after they promised to bring down the costs of medical care?

He did not addressed any of the above problems. I am very disappointed in him lately.

I am so glad you guys are making the calls.  It's not so much the answer they give, but just asking the questions that are important.

Her office said that if the welfare recipient appears to need drug or alcohol testing she is not against it. I simply thanked them and hung up. Now I know I should have to challenged them about personal responsibility on anybody's part that receives tax payer dollars in return. Argh...I'm not good at this, but know I have to start somewhere...

I also called this a m and asked to speak to Brown -she was not available-I then asked to speak to her aide-he was not available-she asked what was my question-I told her that I would prefer not to converse on such a serious matter with a switchboard operator-but since she was all alone in the office and no one else was available here goes--how come drug testing of welfare takers was an intrusion but being strip searched at airports was ok she said she could not speak for the T S A I responded why she felt she could speak for The State of Florida Laws The answer to that question was not on her cheat sheet. I then asked-can I e-mail Brown my questions and expect an honest answer-

she said I was free to do what ever I wished to do- have sent E-mail and will share Chlorines answer.

I called this A.M. and the person that answered the phone said that the Congresswoman said it would be okay if there was "probable cause" that the recipient might be on drugs.  I then asked her if that is the case, why don't the TSA use the same reasoning?  It seems that they [TSA] treats everyone as a Terrorist, young old white black American or foreign.  She said she didn't have an answer for that.  In closing my conversation with her, I paraphrase our Pres on how he described his Grandmother, "That's just TYPICAL" of the Democratic party.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
