Health care proposal attacks Constitution

Michael Connelly, a retired constitutional attorney, has read and analyzed every word in the health care bill. The parts of the bill that violate our Constitution is what he is concerned about.

The bill definitely rations health care for senior citizens; it also provides free abortions as requested and health care for illegal immigrants.

This bill will force private insurance companies out of business, so everyone must be in a government-run system. You will be told by a bureaucrat if, and when, you can go to the hospital, and then all your medical care will be strictly controlled by government bureaucrats, instead of medical doctors.

This legislation is not for the health care of our citizens; instead, it is a cover for the most massive transfer of power to the executive branch of government that has ever occurred.

This bill is designed to destroy major portions of our Constitution.

The first thing to go will be the balance of power between the executive, legislative and judicial branches of our government. Congress will be transferring, to President Obama, administrative authority in several areas over the lives of American people and the businesses they own.

Congress has no authority to legislate in most of those areas to begin with! No place in the Constitution is authority granted to Congress to regulate health care.

The Third and Fourth Amendments that protect us from search and seizure and guarantee privacy will be abolished. If you decide not to have health care insurance, or if you have private insurance that is not acceptable to the Health Choices Administrator appointed by Obama, there will be a tax imposed on you. It will be a tax instead of a fine, because the Fifth Amendment permits you to protest a fine, but not a "tax." Thus, another amendment will be out of their way.

The Ninth Amendment, that guarantees that other amendments will not be violated, will also be out the window.

The 10th Amendment states: The powers not delegated to the United States are preserved to the States, or to the people. Under the conditions of the health care bills, the states and the people will lose all powers that always belonged to them.

Obama stated many times that he does not agree with our Constitution and hopes to change it. This is not about health care: It is about seizing power and limiting rights. Article 6 of the Constitution requires the members of both houses of Congress to "be bound by oath or affirmation to support the Constitution." A member of either house cannot vote for this bill without violating this "sacred trust." These articles and amendments cannot be restored, once they are violated by an entitlement such as the health care bills.

For those who doubt the nature of this threat, they should consult the source, the U.S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. There you can see exactly what we are about to have taken from us!

This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
