First Coast HonorAir Flight #7
Rick Trayner Memorial Flight
Orange Park/Jacksonville, FL
01 Oct 11

The Patriot Guard Riders have once again been requested by First Coast HonorAir www.firstcoasthonorair.com to escort 37 Veterans of the Greatest Generation to the JacksonvilleIntl.Airport.  This will be the seventh Honor Air flight sponsored by the Rotary Club of Orange Park Sunrise, like their Brothers and Sisters before them they will be traveling to Washington, DC to visit the Memorial built to Honor the men and women whom served our Country with Honor and Distinction during WWII. Including remembering those whom paid the ultimate sacrifice and did not return home to their families and communities.

On previous flights these men and women were so thrilled that we came out to support them. And while they entered the airport, standing there shaking their hands thanking them for their service and to have a good flight. These men walking on their own, with canes and in wheel chairs even those you could tell whose memory was slipping. Returned the thank you faster then it could be rendered.

Having been involved in the previous HonorAir flights I know and those who have come out for this escort/Send-Off know these Heroes really do appreciate everyone that shows up. This includes the Boy Scouts who have lined Kingsley Ave and Blanding Blvd. In previous years these young people have gotten up early on a Saturday morning to Stand in the rain to wave American flags as the busses carrying these Heroes pass by. These are but a few of many memories they gain from their day!

NOTE:

This trip will be a Memorial Trip dedicated to Richard (Rick) Trayner, our HonorAir Chairman, who passed away on June 7, 2011.  Rick was involved in the planning, coordination and execution of all six previous First Coast HonorAir trips.

NOTE II: This is possibly the last HonorAir flight from our area. Even though the first HonorAir Flight departure was a soggy mess, the turnout was fantastic! With this possibly being the last flight from our area, let’s have another great turnout for these Heroes of the Greatest Generation!

Hi all,

This is from the Patriot Guard Riders and as you read this may be the final and last send off from JIA.  I was at MCO last night and we had 25 WWII vets return from DC.  The oldest was 95 years old, still lived on his own, still bowls, loves to make banana bread (Oh, he was a cook in the Army). I asked his daughter that was waiting for him for the recipe.  It was another wonderful homecoming for them, they were very susprised. Even though they had a 16 hour day by the time we got to them they still had to travel an hour and a half home!!!!!  We had flags flying and tried to shake every vet's hand and thank them for protecting this Country that we love so dearly.  I will be in Lakeland for an Agenda 21 all day meeting and would love people to greet our vets to and from DC.

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
