Subject: FYI - Intersections With Cameras

The following intersections have cameras that will take a picture of your tag if you run a red light. You will be ticketed through the mail. You may have to go to court. If you are ticketed for running a red light you have to take a traffic class; or, your licenses can be suspended for 6 months. Neither the police officer nor the clerk of the court will tell you this. Even if someone else is using your car and run the red light you will be ticketed not them. It's your car:

Beach and Atlantic

Beach and San Pablo

Beach and Kernan

Beach and Southside

Beach and University

Beach and St John Bluff

Butler and 9A

Southside and Baymeadows

There are other intersections that have cameras but they are just for observation and are used for recommendation for JTA. Within the year the city will be enhancing this list with photo cameras for ticketing.

Also, a law goes into affect in October that you can be ticketed for texting while driving in the state of Florida; and, they are working to pass the law that you can not use a cell phone while driving. Please tell your children to be careful.
