Amanda, that is so insightful. Busy work. Bills are supposed to move slowly through Congress as stated in the U.S. Constitution but instead everything now is fast tracked without Congress even reading the bills before voting on them. They are way off base on what their jobs should be. I wrote several 'STUPID elected representatives' letters today to Congress.org. I read somewhere, oh it was the Penn and Teller video on the 4th amendment rights that we have over 50,000 gun laws on the books. That is insane.

Remember when many of the policies that became law under the 111th Congress, and they were also upset by how congressional Democrats, aided and abetted by President Obama, did so much of their dirty work behind closed doors. The 1,073-page, $862 billion economic stimulus bill, for example, was written in then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office and was voted on less than 24 hours after it was posted online. The 2,700-page health care bill was also written behind closed doors, this time with assistance from industry lobbyists, and again was voted on mere hours after it was made public. No member of Congress could possibly have read either bill in any detail before voting on it. 

Now Senate budget chairman Kent Conrad (Dem-ND) is trying to spring a stealth budget through, it has been over 768 days since the Democrat Congress passed a budget by law they were supposed to have a budget resolution passed by April 15, every year. The Democrats have NO budget proposal for 2012.

Exactly JL, streamlining these meaningless appointments is worth fighting against. All executive level positions should only be through "advive and consent". We should require the House confer also then they would never have time to enact their stupid bills. Give them busy work.

I just received a reply back from my friend, on how she found out about this bill, she tracks her elected representatives but found out about this from Mark Levin on Face book. She 'Friend' him on face book, she told me to watch out who you 'Friend' and make sure his is labeled 'public figure'. She 'Friend' who she thought was Michelle Bachmann and it took her a whole month before she figured out it was NOT Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann.
