Law Professor Says Vanderbilt University Clamp-Down on Christian Groups Is Unconstitutional

First Amendment Rights

by Bill Korach
The Report Card is usually concerned with K-12 public school matters. However, when a great university like Vanderbilt decided this week to suppress Christian groups for practicing their faith, it is worth a comment. The news story in the adjacent column is about Vanderbilt’s brazen violation of the on-Campus Christian organization’s First Amendment rights. Christian organizations have been suspended because members must conform to their Christian beliefs. Now, according to new Vanderbilt policies, Christian organizations must accept openly gay students, practicing Muslims, or a militant atheist even through these actions are a clear violation of their faith, and their first amendment rights.

Patricia;

I believe that many of the Occupy Wall Street youthful protesters get their ideas directly from our schools. What does the educational bureaucracy, and the teacher's union admire? Socialism. What do they oppose? Christianity, free markets and individual liberty, family values. Is it any wonder that the protesters parrot those views? Our textbooks are full of nonsense, and the classrooms are full of hot air, as our SAT scores and international math and science standing plummet. More of the public and the Tea Party need to be aware of what is going on in the schools. As you say, even if we win big in 2012, but loose the next generation we are finished as a free nation

Bill, I have been to your web site.  God bless you and all your friends for doing what you do!  If they brainwash all the children, our country is done for.  Look at the young people on wall street.  I am absolutely sick of these horrid people and their horrid plan for this country.

Patricia;

Eye on US Education, a grass roots group in 27 Florida counties and 11 states has been established to work with (or battle) local school boards and schools. Their goal is get schools to teach true American history and Constitutional government. They are worthy of support.

Right now, Bill, teachers and professors have run amuck.  They seem to think they should be telling everyone what to do and what they can't do.  Look at teachers at lower levels trying to get rid of Halloween.................what happened to parental rights anyway.   We can't allow prayer in the schools, but we can allow Muslims to pray during school and dress according to their religious beliefs.  We can allow teachers to tell our children gay is good, but parents can't teach it is abnormal and goes against the bible's teachings.  Everything is upside down and backwards and how do we stop it?

RYAN NICHOLS - Hardened Criminal?? Seriously??

If you're not already aware. This is what's going on in DC while dangerous criminals are allowed back out on the streets.  It's horrifying that this is happening to our citizens and veterans for protesting the hijacking of our election process. This is still happening! They are STILL being tortured and treated like full on terrorists.

You may not be aware of the typical things they're forced to go through...…
